Gets the job done
The product is heavy duty and will accomplish what it was designed to do; but I think that a few modifications could improve the product and here is my take on it: The head of the lag type bolts that came with the product did not appear to be either metric or standard; each type of socket fit loosely because of the way the bolt head was shouldered. Not thinking, I stripped the bolt heads before I could get them drove all the way into an oak tree. I had to remove them with the aid of a pair of vise grips. Discard the lags that come in the package and get some 3/8 x 2 ½ lag bolts from your local hardware and use them. In order to access the SD card you have to open the security box and completely remove the camera from the box before the door on the camera will open. However, the box does have an unprotected area that will allow access to the bottom of the camera; but it will also allow someone else to access your photos if they have the equipment to plug into the camera. The slot that allows you to secure the camera in the box with the supplied winged bolt could be a little longer to keep the wings from hitting the tree when tightening it down. All in all and after all my knit picking: the box is a keeper and should deter any two or four legged varmints that are just passing through.
