Does the job but it's really about the software

The hardware is nothing special but the software (downloaded for free) offers the ability to do some pretty advanced DMX programming.  Many other software products that are free are missing key features like MIDI support and or the ability to setup custom lighting profiles (for those un-named lighting fixtures).  It was nice to see that the hardware wasnt a complete piece of junk and actually is a durable piece of gear you'd not feel bad tossing in a bag.  In general, I agree with much of what has been said by others on youtube: It works really well. Hard to argue with. Wish it was less expensive.  The plus model is pretty cool for those people who need to setup scenes and then leave the hardware without a laptop.  If you want to just plug in a couple DMX lights -- this is probibly overkill. However, if you need to do some small theatre or DJ lighting with scenes and have something that supports moving heads and is easy to use -- this works great.

Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Yes
  • Easy to Use
  • Simple to Set Up
  • Sturdy
  • Quality Construction
  • Too Expensive
