Rifle / pistol multi tool

The use is self explanatory. A rail gun mount it's not, and the main reason I purchased it was for the price and the multiple component / configuration possiblities. Not the highest quality, as the tolerances for the adjustments are a too loose and less than precise if you're intending on using it strictly as a bench rest for shooting. If you want a lot of components that you can modify and turn into a pretty useful all around 'tool', it's definitely worth the price. Investment cast cast iron components, so it's heavy enough. The felt pads are the first things to fall off, as noted in other reviews, but some contact cement remedied that issue, or you can replace them with a proper pellet filled leather shooting bag of your choosing. I also added some lock nuts on the four threaded foot studs, sleeved the front rest shaft hole with a thin piece of rolled stainless sheet to take up the side to side play, re-epoxied a couple of the plastic locking handles that broke loose from the threads, added a butt pocket on the the rear mount, added a mini shooting bag on the rubber pistol rest attachment and generally tweaked the whole thing until it was reliably useful for my needs. You get what you pay for, to be sure, but at least you get a lot of attachments with this benchrest / vise, so it's a bargain multi-function tool if you're willing to modify it a bit.

Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Yes
Pros
