A tornado that's a breeze to use!

It's an awesome machine. I'm 54 years old,so to put this on my back and clean the yard is a cinch and NO FATIGUE, as compared to a handheld unit. THE 150BT is noticeably quieter than my old Cr______n , and the damper mounting of the engine onto the frame, makes it very comfortable to where.

One note to anyone thinking about doing business with VMI, go for it. I have never been disappointed with factory reconditioned products in the past and it still holds true with VMI.

THE best deal!

This is by far the best deal you will find for this blower. It arrived in pristine condition. It was easy to put together. It cranked right up, with no problems.

It's a little heavy, but that just shows how well it is made. I imagine it will be very durable, and last a long time with proper maintenance. It blows strong, making light work of parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, yards, etc.

I bought this to replace an old Husky that is one model lower. It finally gave up the ghost. This cost the same as the weaker model. Great deal if you ask me!

disappointed with weight
It is an okay product for the price,I am disappointed with husqvarna when I see the motor is made in China and i am disappointed with VMinnovation for advertising the weight improperly at 12 pounds when in fact it is app. 22 pounds,I contacted Customer Service when I saw and felt the weight difference,I'm sorry but I feel the weight of a tool you carry on your back is important and should be advertised correctly.Customer Service e-mailed me back on October 7Th that it would change the weight on their website right away, as of today it is still advertised at 12 pounds.I like Husgvarna tools and after using this for several hours it is a nice blower with some good features. The weight is okay for me but is to heavy for other family members that help me .

Wonderful product

Having read many reviews I decided that the 150BT with it's 50cc motor was the way to go. After receiving it and seeing how large it was compared to it's smaller cousins I wondered if I had made a mistake...Let me tell you now NO MISTAKE. Very comfortable, not too loud and makes yard work a "breeze". I am very pleased with both the blower and vminnovations.AA+++

Powerful, quiet but heavy
I like it.  Surprisingly quiet.  Seems high volume of air and high speed.  Easily moves sticks, stones, even caked mud from the street gutter.  Definitely not a small backpack blower.  Bulky and fairly heavy, at least compared to some of the smaller options.

Excellent Leaf Blower!

For a reconditioned unit, I could hardly tell except for the fact that is was clearly marked on the box.  Item shipped quickly and arrived in a timely fashion.  It assembled in less than 10 minutes.  I lubed up the blower tubes which made installation a breeze.  I filled it with premix as directed, primed it and it started on the second pull as expected.  It runs like a new unit and is much quiter than I had expected.  This is my third reconditioned Husqvarna product and I couldn't be happier.  Their may be one small mark in sharpie on the unit, but other than that it looks mint.  Honestly, for the price I am not going to complain.  The quality of build, my prior experience with the brand, and an overwhelmingly positive overall feedback rating from many sources guided me to purchase this blower and my expierience with it makes me to highly recommend this blower.  If you're looking for a quality gas-powered backpack blower (alot more comfortable than a hand-held in my opinion) that's commercial quality at a consumer-grade price -- take a close look at the 150BT.

*******CRAAAAZY GOOD BLOWER******

We have had an arsenal of yard tools over the years for moving leaves. None of them compare to the new Husqvarna 150BT blower 48.6cc Gas blower. This thing, I now refer to as "The Beast",moves leaves like cutting thru butter. Even the piles of massive white oak leaves that had been sitting all winter. Matted wet leaves, no problem. It's like having a hurricane wind at the end of a nozzle at my service. Do I like this machine? I love it! It looked brand new, always starts fast with no more than 2 pulls, and is simple to use. It is also a perfect machine for our Blower Hockey Team use! Thanks VMI for another perfect refurbished product. I also bought the Blendtech blender refurbished and it has performed flawlessly.

Husqvarna 150BT

Had a Homelite backpack blower for 15 years for home use. When it finally played out I did a little research and the 150BT seemed to be the most for the least. 251 MPH at the nozzle and VMinnovations price unbeatable. I've owned a Husky 55 saw for 17 years and it still cranks on the second pull and so does the blower. Had an issue with a fuel leak when I first got it and Vminnovations was bend over backwards to help. They offered to either ship another one or I could take it to a dealer for warranty work. Issue was resolved, blower is impressive, and VMinnovations has been top shelf. The item was shipped to me quickly, the assembly was fairly simple, and the blower I received appears new while saving me well over 100 dollars in initial cost so if you're looking for a leaf blower at a bargain price!

Excellent Value for the Money

I mow commercially and need a small backpack blower for a few jobs.   I purchased through the website rather than Ebay due to a 20 dollar savings.

The unit is easy to assemble,  although the throttle handle you might have to loosen the screws on the grip to spread it to slide on.

I fueled it up, (btw I use a 42:1 mix of oil and gas,) Primed it till I felt the gas in the primer bulb, set the choke and thottle and the first pull it stared.

I have played with it some and the throttle need to be just barely set,  they recommend a 1/3 but have not used that much.  When I did use a 1/3 found it hard to start.  (I talked to the fellow who is my repairman for all my commercial equipment and he said this is common and many people have taken the units back to Lowes as will not start.)

The unit has plenty of power for the typical homeowner and would recommend.

One con is the tubes are hard to get to lock in place but a squirt of WD40 will remedy that problem.

Great shipping and service from the folks here.  It was ordered on a Sunday, shipped Monday and had it Tuesday and live approx 300 miles from Lincoln.

Works for me

Bought one a couple years ago.  Was a bit concerned about the refurbished part.  Worked great out of the box and has run reliably for over 2 years now.  Just follow starting instructions and it fires up easily.  Have a half acre with half a dozen 60' oaks that drop a ton of leaves every year.  This machine helps a lot and was worth the price.

Item arrived as advertised. Set up went quickly. Easy starting and simple to use. Storage is a bit ackward as the hose/nozzle doesn't fold out of the way when hanging the unit on a shop wall. I would buy it again.

WOW! I'm impressed.

I have to agree with everyone who has previously perchased reconditioned 150BTs from VM Innovations. The condition is like new except for minor scuffs on the bottom of the frame. The unit arrived from Nebraska to New Jersey in 5 days, not bad. I put it together immediately and tried it out. It started up on the second pull. Incredible power and air flow, and the effective distance is very nice. I was able to clear out all of maple seed pods out of the stone border around our pool. That was always nearly impossible with a hand held blower. I can't wait to use it this fall.

Thanks VM, H. Sliski.

Product received as described. Only issue was that it needed to to be repaired at the dealer as it was not operating properly. I would suspect that is why it was returned. Only complaint is that I expected the unit to be more powerful.

First Time VMINNOVATION.COM customer

This (along with a Husqvarna line trimmer) was my first purchase from vminnovations.com.  I was looking at this same unit at Lowes for $299.99.  I compared this model to an Echo model of similar specifications.  Consumer Reports rated this one 1 point below the Echo.

I was a little skeptical buying a refurbished leaf blower as I figured it would have been abused and looked used.  I checked out vminnovations.com on resellerratings.com and saw they have an excellent score.  I decided to go ahead with the purchase.  I placed the order on a Tuesday afternoon, and the package arrived Friday morning via FedEx.

The blower was packed in a Husqvarna box.  I eagerly opened the box to see what condition the unit was in.  To my surprise, the blower was in very good condition.  The shoulder straps and pads appeared to be new.  By looking at it, you can't tell its a refurbished unit.

I was able to use the blower the next day. After fueling, priming, and choking the blower, it started on the second pull. The power is quite impressive.  I don't find it too heavy, and think it is relatively quite compared to other blowers. On full throttle, this will blow wet leaves, sticks, stones, and mulch.  I was able to blow leaves out of shrubs with ease. I also used this to dry my deck after I power washed it.  I plan on using this to dry my motorcycle after washing it.

I've already made my 2nd purchase with vminnovations (Husqvarna 435-BRC-RB)

Solid, but definitely used

It's a good machine -- pretty powerful and not as loud as I had thought it might be. I was surprised that it looked as "used" as it did. Most of the other reviews indicate these refurbished products look almost new, but mine has clearly been used for a while. The straps, for example, are a bit dirty and the tube has a lot of dirt on it. It was manufactured in 2010 and I bought it at the end of 2012. It works fine, though I can't tell for sure if it's as powerful as a new unit.

Powerful blower

It is a very powerful blower. The air preassure is really strong at full throttle.

mine was in typical refurb condition.

If you have starting issues, check the spark plug (mine came with a fouled spark plug)

Use 93 octane + synthetic 2 stroke oil (AMS Dominator)  and it will last for many years.

Thank you for the deal, VMInnovations! I bought many items from here because no one can beat their price and customer service.

Heavy Duty - Operates as Advertised

I have just under an acre - with dozens of old-growth trees and leafy vegitation. Clearing the leaves from my yard is a multi-day job, but it is made much easier with this blower.

The power and wind-speed are two highlights. The fuel capacity will get you through about 70 minutes at full throttle; that is perfect timing for water breaks. This blower has no trouble clearing leaves, pine needles, and associated vegitative debris from long grass. It is easy to control and operate.

It is fairly loud so hearing protection is a must. It also puts out a good bit of vibration; there is a solid level of damping in the harness, but i found that my hands tended to "buzz" after extended (6+ hours) of use.

This is a nice piece of equipment. Husqvarna also has a YouTube Channel for this specifica model of blower - that was a big help for assembly and operation.

Awesome blower for little money.

Purchased this in February of 2013 for $199 with coupons and free shipping. It looks almost brand new and it starts on the second pull everytime. I have used it around a dozen times so far and it works great. As others have suggested, putting a little lube on the connection pieces makes it a lot simpler to assemble. Just a great backpack blower for an incredible value.

Very Powerful

The 150bt is a very good back pack blower with one flaw. The blower tubes are flimsy and dont attach well. which results in them feeling like they are going to fall apart while you are working. I have epoxied mine together to keep them from seeming like they are going to fly off when im going from side to side or up and down. Other than the tubes this machine is a very powerful blower. The harness system is solid and keeps the blower centered on your back with minimal movement. Being that its a commercial grade machine it IS heavier than most backpack blowers by about ten pounds but that is to be expected. Most home owner units arent half as powerful as this machine. Dont let the refurbished tag bother you in the slightest. Mine came looking as tho it had never been fired up. Ive been using back pack blowers for twenty years and this is the best ive used from any manufacturer. The only comprable units would be echo and stihls high end commercial machines.

Husqvaarna 150BT Leaf Blower

I have purchased refurbished before and had the items looks practically new.  The harness was encrusted with mud.  The tubes were soo worn they will not hold.  There was dirt all over the blower.  I can tell the fuel line was changed to that new green poly tube but they didn't go the extra mile and change the other fuel line..you know it will rot..that is the most common problem with these.  Overall seeing the condition of this unit, I would not purchase a refurbished item from vminnovations again.

Great Blower at good price

I replaced my 1980 John Deere (Echo) 40cc blower, it still runs great but the muffler gave out and I could not find one so I retired it and boght the Husky since it was $120 cheaper than an Echo. It arrived promptly and had a few scuffs just as advertised,  but went together easy and started on the 2nd pull. It's quite a but more powerful than my old one and at least 5 times quieter but after using it a few times I'm really amazed at how little gas it uses. If I could change anything I'd put the throttle on a hanlde on the left side, when on the roof blowing out the gutters it did not feel as balanced as my old one. Ocerall it seems well designed and built but I have not checked the air filter yet if it's not an oiled foam element like all 2 strokes should be I'll be changing it, that's why my old one lasted 34 years by cleaning the filter often and using good 2 stroke oil. I'm hoping this one holds up as good my old one did.

Great Purchase

I had an extremely hard time choosing a backpack blower.  I have huge Oak trees in my yard that drop a lot of leaves.  You get varying information that state whether or not 50cc's is enough power.  I guess I can see if you were a lawn guy doing multiple yards more power would be helpful, but as a homeowner I can't possibly see needing more power than this.  What I read about power and what units say they have is completely true.  This blower is rated at 180 mph and my previous one was 200.  This one is twice as powerful, it's not even close.  My refurbished unit is almost brand new.  Works great.  With refurbished models available, I can't see why anyone would buy a new one.

Couldn't be more pleased

Received our leaf blower less than 48 hours after ordering it.  Set up is quick and easy although the instructions could have  bit larger font and images.  My husband was busy with other stuff and I was anxious to see how it performed so I fired it up which took only one pull.  It is awesome!  It was not uncomfortably heavy or awkward and even after using it through two tanks of gas, I was not tired.  The leaves were wet but the force of the blower just rolled piles of them down the hill.  It was alot quieter than I thought it would be and was easy on gas.  This is going to cut down on so much raking!  So far, the best $ I have spent this year.

Great product; great process; great price

Took a chance with the refurbished 150BT Husqvarna backpack blower.  Ordered online, it arrived quickly and was easy to put together.  Started on second pull and no problems since in the first 5 uses.  Neighbor with a comparable Stihl paid 2x what I paid for this blower.  Only gripe is packaging could have been a little nicer (maybe a little more padding in the box).  Overall appearance of the blower is good - a few scuffs and one of the tubes was compressed a bit (again, I blame the packaging), but it assembled fine and overall shape is back to rounded.  Great product.  Great process to buy.  Great price.

Great Deal
Got this for 190 bucks shipped to my house. No tax or shipping. Its 300 plus tax at lowes...theres is not refurbished but for  130 dollars I gave it a try. I used it twice and it started very easy and was very powerful. I ran it for about 45 minutes straight the second time...throttle wide open the whole time and no troubles. Makes quick work of leaves and pine needles on 1 acre. Only time will tell long term dependability. I will tell you that it says made in USA with engine from CHINA. I don't typically buy any power equipment with chinese coponents like craftsman, ryobi, hitachi, poulan, etc beacuse they always end up dying young. This is certainly better than my friends craftsman professional backpack blower that overheats after 10 minutes!

This Thing Blows!
I can blow wet leaves and sticks off my city sized lot in about 20 minutes. 20 minutes of blowing yeilded about 12 full brown yard bags of leaves. This thing blows! Refurb was in pretty good shape. Gas tank cap was a bit chewed up and there was some Sharpie marks on the body... but that saved me over $100 off the big box price. Mechanically it was all in good shape. It is easy to set up and easier to use. Make sure that you get a good pair of ear muffs to silence the sound. While not loud, in fact more quiet than many other blowers, you really need to be careful with sustained sounds in this frequency spectrum.  I give the blower a 10/10. The refurb does not come with the small ended tube which increases the output velocity, but you will not miss it. Just don't need it. I picked up a couple of small bottles of the oil for mixing at Lowes for $2.50 when I picked up a 1 gallon gas can.  You will need oil if you want to put it together and blow right away when the box arrives as it does not ship with oil. Good thing too as the box looked like it had been trampled by a herd of buffalo when it arrived; no damage to the blower though. I blew my yard and both my neighbors' yards 'cause it is all kinds of fun!!

150bt backpack blower

Works well up in the northwest where fir needles are rampant! Cleans the roff, gutters and yard with ease. Looks and works like new. I wish it had come with a sweeper nozzle.

Sure beats the pants off my old electric blower.  Not as easy to start, but worlds better.  I can clean my gravel driveway in 1/3 the time.  Arrived super fast and very satisfied.

Awesome product! It's brand new and works perfectly. Two pulls and it was purring like a kitten. I have a big yard and need to move a lot of leaves. This blower can handle it. Set up was a breeze. Highly recommended.

I don't dread Autumn anymore

Starts with one pull; two at the most.  I love the power.  This blows heavy wet leaves too.  I've reduced 6-8 hours of raking into 90 minutes.  Now I have my fall weekends back.

Well worth it

I took a gamble buying a refurbished unit, but I have to say, it looked brand new and is working flawlessly so far.  I'm still on my first tank of gas but used it 4 times.  If anyone reading this review is wondering if this unit works better than an electric unit, the answer is OH MY GOD YEAH.  You can not even compare the two.

Husqvarna 150BT Leaf Blower Review by PorscheDude

I have a home with 1 1/2 acres of land and about 20 trees over 100 feet tall and believe me when I say it provides more leaves than any homeowner could ever imagine. 150BT does everything I need it to do. I mainly use for leaf cleanup and to keep the hard surfaces clean. It starts on 2nd pull everytime. It does use alot of premium gas(mix 50-1)  but than I run it for several hours at a time. Remember the following when starting, if cold put the choke on by moving it down and set the handle switch to first click down and than push the little bulb 10 times than pull, it should take 2 pulls. Within 5 second after start put choke to up position.  When warm refill with gas, keep choke up, reset handle switch to 1 click down and don't forget to push the bulb 10 times to get fuel going, it should only take 1 pull. Now its time to have fun, don't for get to wear earplugs.

P.S. The Swisher weed wacker is a great product for the money and is actually made by Shindaiwa

Terrific Blower!

It's lighweight and packs a punch, starts up on the first pull, isn't as loud as some of the Echos my neighbors use, blows leaves twigs and some smaller branches (let alone really wet leaves).  Only drawback is the location of the primer bulb.  Beyond that, this thing is awesome and cuts through leaves like a hot knife through butter.

Good Blower, Fast Shipping

Machine worked well, shipping is fast, packaging was so so, but machine was not damaged.

The only small downside is the manual was a photo copy with tiny fonts, hard to read.

BUY IT

Looks brand new and started on the first pull once I had the kill switch in the right position :P don't miss this one I spent almost 100.00 on a cheap one that lasted a year. I have no doubt I will be using this one for many many years. It is a little bulky but it's light for a man and very quiet. Thanks VM

Great Blower

I received blower pretty quickly from FedEx. Assembly was very easy and completed in a few minutes. But gas in and it fired right up, but wouldn't accelerate. Called seller and they told me to bring to Husqvarna dealer, and they fixed it pretty quickly as I waited. After that is runs perfect and always starts right up. It is very quiet and has lots of power. It is a bit heavy though. Great product overall, with a great price.

exceeded expectations

I must say, I rarely give a 5 star review, but both VMinnovations and the Husqvarna 150BT (refurbished) actually do deserve an excellent review. I must say that I was very skeptical having never heard of them before. After speaking with someone directly on the phone; being assured of their return policy and warranty, my worries subsided and I felt comfortable giving them a shot. I'm very glad that I did.

The free ground shipping was essentially overnight shipping; I ordered at 7am on a Thursday and it arrived Friday afternoon. I don't know if everyone will have that luck, but it was pretty amazing to get that service at no additional charge. The box came a bit crushed and beaten up... that said the blower only showed minor signs of usage and was typical of what you might expect a refurbished piece of lawn equipmet to show.

I put some high test mix in, choked it and it coughed to life on the third pull. It smoked a bit at first, then ran smooth. I've used it two or three times in the past week, two of those times on fairly large leaf and debris clean-ups. Started right up both times and ran strong and smooth for over an hour both times.

I have no real complaints as the unit works just as it was designed to work. I must say that I'm used to upper range professional strength blowers (65cc) and the loss in power is noticeable. I'm used to being able to easily blow away gravel and salt from the road that has gathered in the driveway, things like that are a bit much for this blower. Again, a mid-range 50cc blower cannot be expected to do such heavy lifting so this isn't really a complaint; if you do need to accomplish tasks like that with ease, you may think about looking up a class to 65cc or 75cc. But regualr homeowner yardwork such as moving leaves, twigs, pollen, bits of mulch, etc... for those tasks the 150BT is great.

Buy with confidence.

A real performer

This unit is everything I hoped for. Easy start for most men, but possibly a little difficult for some women. Same for the weight, a little too heavy for some women. As for power, it is exceptional. I have bought several "refurb" items in the past, and this one was in typical "refurb" condition. It came in a basic cardboard box, and didn't look 100% "factory fresh" but after one days use it would not stay new looking anyway.

Husky's are the best

I use this for lawn care small business and it works great with enough volume to do the job. It is very light expecially with the belt. It is the quietest blower I have ever used and has more capacity than the loud ones. I am very happy with this purchase and would do again.
