Great Value

Started on the 2nd pull.  The chainsaw looks well built.  I've used Homelite before with good success.  The saw looks new and performs well.  Could not be more satisfied.  Much lighter and easier to use than my Craftsman.

Awesome
I was looking for a cheap chain saw, I found this website offering gas powered chainsaws for less than $60. I did some reading and then decided to buy the Homelite UT10540, 35cc. I received the UT10544, 42cc for $56 shipped to me. What a steal! It does the work. I bought an 18" blade and some extra chains locally and am set to go. I cut up some trees and have had no issues whatsoever. Starts up every time. I do admit that I follow the manual rigorously and that includes maintenance before and after usage. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and will from this site again!

Great deal, good saw

This is the best deal anywhere on a chainsaw. VM innovations was awesome to purchase from, shipped quickly. In fact, like some other reviewers I received an upgraded saw over what I ordered - the 41cc model. Can't beat that! The saw and chain appear to be in perfect shape, starts right up and cuts well...Now for the only negative. The design of the chain tensioning system is a poor one. It's tool free, which sounds nice on paper but in reality it is the weakest link of the saw. After several thrown chains I realized that the tension on the chain was loosening at an alarming rate. Now I retighten the chain every time I stop to add bar oil. No thrown chains since then, but beware that this tool free adjustment requires nearly constant monitoring. Everything else about the saw is A+.

Bad Refubish Chain Saw

This item has good reviews; therefore, I brought one too. After receive the chain saw, I filled the saw with gas & oil and carefully follow the start enginee instruction but an hour later the chain saw still won't start (I owned 2 chain saws prior to this one). I decided to take off the cover and find out that the air filter was very...very... very dirty and the sparkplug too. There were atleast 2 stickers on this saw said that this saw passed the refurbish inspection. I was able to start the engine after 1/2 hour cleaned the: air filter, spakplug and enginee but the engine running rough. During the chain saw running, there were oil spilled everywhere. I think this item was defective and that the reasonis why the previous customer return it.

I stopped the saw and re-pack the item. VMinnovation was very helpfull with returning this item. Now I'm waiting for another chain saw to arrive, with hoping to get a better saw.

Homelite ut10540

I use this little saw to cut firewood.

It's a good little saw for that purpose. I received this saw for about the price it would cost to repair one of my bigger saws.

I had to adjust the carburator just a bit. All in all, a good buy.

Shipping was excelent.

Came Quick

I ordered this chainsaw a few days ago and got it lastnight. The shipping was super fast. When I took it out of the box I noticed it said 42cc on  the side, I ordered the 35cc, so an upgrade for no extra cost is awesome. I have not used it yet so I'm not sure how it performs. I did have a little bit of trouble putting the chain and bar on seeing as how the instructions that came with it said that the product was fully assembled. It's a good thing I'm mechanically inclined. Overall I would say it is definitely worth the money.

Homelite UT10540 14In. Bar

The saw is hard to start.  The directions are hard to understand.  You are to push the blub 7 times which will flood the machine, then you are to close choke and pull two more times, which floods it more.  That is the instruction!  I push the blub 2 times, then set the choke and sometimes it will start. If it doesn`t, then let it set a few minutes and try again.  Once it starts it will run fine til it runs out of gas unless you quit with a dull saw blade.   I have come to the conclusion  the chain is far east made from a soft metal.  I wll cut one cut and the chain will dull a little and dull more with each cut.  I have ordered an oregon usa made chain hoping this will make things better.  I have cut 6 large oak trees so far and blocked them.

Nice Chainsaw

Great deal for the price! The saw arrived looking pretty well brand new. The box did not contain a chain, however. I emailed VMInnovations and they fixed the error quickly.

The saw cuts real well! Starts right up and is fun to use (if you enjoy the outdoors and cutting wood) The one caveat I would like to note is that the chain must be watched carefully in between cuts for any slack. I noticed that the chain tensioning set is quirky.  My chain popped off after about 6-8 cuts. It would not install back on the bar without filing some dings on the chain followers. No big deal. I'm actually thinking of ordering a second saw from VMInnovations.

Homelite 14" Chainsaw

I have another brand of chainsaw that is like new and wont even start.

I have a Homelite trimmer that starts easy and every time so I decided to try their chainsaw .

This chainsaw starts every time like the trimmer so I think I will choose Homelite from now on .

Good experience . . . Can recommend

So far I have been very pleased with this chain saw.  I admit that I was leary about buying something "reconditioned", but the price was reasonable and I decided to give it a try!  The saw arrived promptly in EXCELLENT, CLEAN condition.  I was very pleased with how easy it was to attach the bar and chain . . . No tools needed.  Everything can be tightened with hand-maneuvered knobs (including tensioning the chain).  I have only run the saw for a couple of hours so far, but it started with minimal effort and runs smoothly.   It has some nice safety features (chain brake and tip guard).  Overall I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this company to others.   By the way, I'm a woman . . . and this saw is definitely manageable if you have had previous experience with chain saws.

Recently purchased refurbished chainsaw

I recently purchased this item, the first one that was shipped was not operational , it appeared that it had not been refurbished to the standard that it should have been. After some hagling with the company's service rep I was able to have the company pay for return shipping(Which  in my opinion wasn't an outragious expectation, since when an item it purchased there is a resonable expectation of product merchantability,in short it has to work as intended.) The return process and re-shipping was completed in a timely manner and once I received the replacement product and set it up I began using it for yard chores(cutting up downed branches from recent storms and general limb trimming,) The chain saw performs well for a saw of it's size. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and  would recomend the company and it's products to my friends

Beware before you buy

I've had this chainsaw for 1 year and has been reliable.  The chain tensioner gets dirty and loosens easily.  Keep it clean and you should be ok.  The biggest annoyance is the carburetor tool.  The 'high' and 'low' adjustment takes a one of kind 'PACMAN' tool that costs $15-30 if you can find one.  The manual says take to a Homelite service center.  This a royal pain and unnecessary.  If you have to adjust the carburetor, you're in for a shock.  I bought the tool.
