Removable training wheels on the 16-inch Girl's Jasmine offer a nice safety feature as your little girl transitions to her first two-wheeler ride. Purple with colorful graphics, the bike features a handcrafted high-tensile steel frame designed to provide nice control. Front and rear hand brakes are backed up by a rear coaster brake for added safety, while the handlebar pad provides stylish protection. Extra wide 2.125" tires roll smoothly over pavement or grass. An adjustable quick-release seat allows you to easily adjust it up and down, and the low stand-over frame makes it easy for little ones to get on and off.

Great First Bike

Bought this bike for my daughter when she was 4 years old. Assembly was simple, took about 20 minutes. I added the training wheels, and my daughter was off on her own in minutes. The training wheels can be adjusted lower or higher and that makes it possible to grow away from ground over time. Once my daughter was ready for balancing on her own (she was about 5 then), I removed the training wheels and she practiced pushing the bike with her feet on the ground. She would challenge herself into moving her legs to the pedal and it took her mere days to balance on her own.

The bike comes with two braking options. The drum brakes are activated by reverse spining the pedals and the hand brakes. There are accessories like pouch and fancy streamers at the end of handle bars. Overall, a nice bike. I would recommend this to anyone buying this for their daughter. Having compared this bike with others, I found Schwinn does a good job at manufacturing a sturdy and attractive bike.

Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Yes
