Good value as advertised

These are not top-of-the-line components or featherlight construction. But...the bike also is priced like a Huffy or Roadmaster, and is of significantly higher quality. The whole process from ordering to first use was seamless. A great bike at great value, will easily carry my daughter into the teen years where we can consider a Trek or Giant if she is still big on biking at that point. On our camping/biking trip with the new bike, my daughter's friend had a 24" Roadmaster, and there was a signficant quality/performance difference with this bike (not to mention weight). I had my tools out regularly for the other bike, but not this one (granted, it was still new and we didn't push it hard).

The only problem we had was that the "ship-with" tube blew out on the first time that I inflated it, indicating old rubber or bad QC. Recommend upgrading the "ship-with" tubes, but then again, it's part of the reason the bike is retailing at $150.

Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Yes
  • Looks Good
  • Sturdy
