Didn't have very much faith until....

Well spending a few hundred for an amp is new to me, I usually spend in the thousands for quality mobile audio.  That being said I have to be truthful and say this amp was only supposed to be a "band aid" to replace my ZED amp while I was having it refurbed, not that it was broken or needed it, but after 15 years, time to get the best quality caps money can buy. the tx1.2600d is not CEA compliant and I thought it might put out 500-700 half way decent watts, it was to be used for 2 jl audio 10w6v2's and I thought "well it might push 2 at a 1 ohm load"  I have 4 total so i did the usual 0 gauge wiring 10 gauge 99.99% OFC speaker cable set up i usually do, so grounds back in place i took the power wire and POP!  Nice spark, which tells me the amp has zip on dampening factor, oh well just going to beat on it untill it blows, which I thought would be within days of purchase.  tuned it with an smd dd1 for clipping, hmmm wouldn't clip for anything?! WTH! ok, then on a Freq tuning cd i really started to notice the sub almost peaking in excursion!  Ok so the amp turned out to be a total beast! distortion was taken out of the mix while tuning for thus, so I added another sub .66 ohm load now, kept right on pushing the subs to full tilt, added the last sub .5 ohm load, and once again full tilt on all four, bass is deep, not the cleanest but if you've stopped reading this by now you don't really care about that, I was impressed, not bad for a super shiney rickedy plastic coated chrome spider having raver blue light blinging pimp my ride sort of amp, anyway the amp will push hard but unclean power, it did its job for two weeks, and is now on ebay, coming full circle you want a decent high powered cheap amp that will last maybe a little longer than your warranty period, this is for you, best band-aid I have ever bought.  I do really miss the old school amps...

Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Yes
  • Easy to Use
  • Simple to Set Up
  • Looks Good
  • it's pretty lol
  • good band-aid until you get the good stuff
  • to much cheap bling
  • weird hard to get to allen screws

This is one of the few amps available that are truly stable at 1/2 ohm load. Anyone that says anything negative about this amp falls into 2 categories:

1. People who arent' happy with anything they buy

2. People who are trying to sell or promote something else

These amps are every bit the same quality as the more expensive Kicker or Rockford amps out there making them the best value in their power class. Also if you look at specs like I do, these amps have a cleaner THD (distortion) percentage than Kicker or Rockford.

Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Yes
