Model 100297 10,000 starting watts generator Dual Fuel
Plan on keeping as back up for power outages. The convenience of propane and gas is a plus for using what may be available in an outage. Propane is easier for storage and handling but you lose some wattage when running on propane. Using a 20 lb propane tank (normal BBQ size) I ran the refrigerator (large whirlpool with large freezer, ice maker, and water dispenser), Microwave during the day, 2 large screen TVs with DVR and modem (which we ran non stop) 2 wireless tablets, 2 cellphones 1 laptop and 1 PC and modems and wireless routers with extensions. The tank lasted 9 hours and was easy to switch to another tank. During this operation time I never exceeded the 50% load. So I had plenty of juice to go. I plan on once a month to run the unit to maintain charged battery and fluid circulation (oil). It is heavy but comes with a wheel kit and tow handle so even the wife can move it from one place to another.

Back up for hurricanes
I will be using the unit for any power interruptions. The dual fuel feature was the main reason I picked this unit. LPG is easier to store and replenish during a storm as my supplier has their own generator and can pump LP gas during power outages. Canít buy gas during power outages. I have no negative views at this time.
