Awesome!

I bought 3 of these for my super-picky, disc-golf addicted fiance.  :)  He absolutely loves them!  We now have a disc golf course in our back (and front) yards whenever he wants to play without driving to a permanent course!  We went out the night I gave them to him and played 18 holes - it was so much fun!  These are of wonderful quality, very sturdy, and just all-around awesome!  Height-adjustable so everyone can play!

Decent Value

The In Step Basket fills a void of having no basket at all and definitely provides you with a tool to practice putting while away from your local course.  The basket is very light weight and fairly easy to pack up so you can bring it with you to a local park or on a camping trip.  You do however get exactly what you pay for in a lower quality and inexpensive basket.  Many have purchased this basket and replaced the stock chains as they are light weight and if left in the elements at all will rust fairly easily.  As is the In step basket gets 3 out of 5 stars for being a great value as the cheapest disc golf basket available on the market today.

Great Price for a Nice Backyard Practice Basket!

I found this item initially on ebay while looking for disc golf discs & baskets. I noticed they had 2 listings there of the same item except that one of them cost about $10 more than the other one.  If you buy 2 at a time there or elsewhere, you only save like $1 overall which seems rather weak but oh well.  I then went to the www.vminnovations.com site & found the same item for slightly less cost ($89.95 I believe it was on around 2-2012).  I also did a brief search for additional coupons/discounts on-line & found one that worked twice (I wound up buying a 2nd basket about 2 months after the 1st one). I found several supposed coupons/discounts initially but the only one that worked that I used was as follows: enter "SAVE2" (w/o quotes) during the checkout process in the gift card/promotion code box (or similar) & it will give you a 2% (or $1.80 +/-) discount as long as it is still valid & not terminated.  The basket is a great buy for a backyard practice set-up, mainly for approach shots & putts.  If you have/own acreage, you could use it/them for practice holes.  We plan to set a few holes up when we make it out to the several acreage lots I bought that are out in the desert/remote areas in NV, CA & OR. My 2 sons & I just took this sport up at the first of this year (I got them each a few nice Innova discs as christmas gifts).  We love it & my youngest son has already had 3 birdies, drives over 300 feet & routinely outdrives/beats me (he's 14, was born w/o his right hand & weighs about 130 lbs.).  Just about anybody can play this sport...it's great for kids & grown-ups.  The baskets are not as heavy duty as the Innova Mach units or other better ones, but they don't cost 2-5 times as much either.  You likely won't find a better buy for a practice basket.  I added the inner circles worth of chains (7 total chains of about 2' long each for about 14 LF of chain total per basket costing about $18 including sales tax from Lowe's) to mine,  This helps prevent slip throughs, etc., which don't happen very often anyways.  Assembly is a snap. It took literally 3 minutes to set-up the basket (w/o the 2nd circle of chains) & you're ready to throw/play.  You'll want to orient the basket on a flat base circle area of ground so that it doesn't tilt, otherwise you'd have to shim it up to get it level/centered which isn't the greatest idea but could be done.  The basket is lightweight yet has never fallen/tipped over & has been through some serious wind/rain lately.  It's easy to take apart & reset-up if you wanted to bring it camping or wherever.  I plan to.  I tried to get a discount by asking if I could get one w/o the 3 discs that come with it, but that wasn't an option.  The 2 sets of 3 discs I received with the baskets have become good for friends that don't have their own discs to use.  They aren't bad discs (a driver, a mid-range & a putter), but they aren't Innova or Discraft either.  Their plastics aren't too high quality & their flight characteristics aren't too great, but the mid-range works great for turnover roller shots.  They're fine for beginners & those without any for sure.  Anyways, if you're thinking about buying a basket or 2, try one 1st & you'll likely be satisfied, especially with the value.  You may decide to buy more thereafter.  Enjoy!

best basket for the price

i like the product for everyday practice, for my self and family.  Its easy to move, take down, and set up. No bag to transport in and the disks are no good except for the kids. I had to install a second set of chains for personal flavor. but not really needed for putting in yard.

Great basket

This is my second in-step basket in my backyard. I purchased my last one ~6yrs ago and it's still going strong. I spend about $15 for inner chains on the last one and I may do that again, but I'm in no hurry because this basket works great. I throw at it with my dog and it gives her a workout (special dog frisbees) and we play disc golf and horseshoes with them.

So Much Fun

This is so much fun!  I bought it for my kids ages 7-16 and they love it but my husband and the neighbors have really gotten into it!  SO easy to set up, we plan on taking it to the beach with us this year!  I wish it came with more frisbees!  Love the free shipping!  We received it faster than I had thought!

the cheapest i found online

i paid 90 something $ using coupons and after a few days i was playing. money well spent. you may want to add an extra round of chains on the inside, since sometimes the disc skip out the basket. very thin construction, you get what you pay but it does his job, specially with extra chains.

Great Gift

I bought this for my five year old, who loves disc golf. He loves it! Its not the perfect basket because it only has one set of chains, but at the same time is great for target practice. Days after my son got this basket I asked him if he wanted to go to the local course and play a round of golf, he said " why do we need to go to the course, I have my own basket", priceless and what a great gift.

Exactly what we ordered! Fast delivery!

:Purchased this for the hubs who teaches a disc golf class at our granddaughter's middle school (grades 5, 6, & 7). He needed a lightweight, portable basket. He has to put up and take down for each class. This is perfect. You cannot beat the price. It was shipped the same day we ordered and arrived within just 2 or 3 days, thus rendering an early visit from Santa, but that's OK!

For the money these goals are great! Of course they are not the professional course quality, but those cost $200 +. They are easy to set up and take down and you can transport them easily too. Very good goals for the home course. I bought 3 and we set up in  my yard and my nephews look them. Also great for backyard cookouts.

Pleasently Surprised

Having only been involed inplaying Disc Golf for about four months I was shopping for a target basket for practice at home. I wanted something close to what is used on the courses we play but yet protable. I purchased this unit primarily due to price. I knew from the online pictures that it only had twelve outter chains and none on the inside before I made the purchase. I'm fairly good with my hands so with a few tools, # 2 chain and S-hooks I was able to intall them very easy. It was very easy to assemble. Now I have a practice target basket in my front yard. The construction is obviously not at heavy duty as professional targets which is understandable. Even with its lighter construction it still weighs forty pounds. Also the materials are not designed to leave outdoors in the weather 24/7. This isn't a problem for us since you can remove three pins and it comes apart in 5 pieces for easy handling. The biggest surprise was the free shipping and with just a few dollars more - two day shipping! I received notification that the item had been shipped on the same day I ordered it and recived it two days later as promised. I will definitely check this site before shopping elsewhere for the fast dependable service alone. I highly recommend this InStep product and this company's outstanding quick service.

Great basket for the money

No better basket for the money!  For about an additional $20 per basket I added a second, interior set of chains and it makes these baskets atwice as good, and stops 90% of discs blowing through the chains.

Great Deal

Im a disc golfer in Kansas. We've got several courses within 30-45 mins but I wanted something at home to practice my putting. I wasn't too hip on spending $150+ to put a basket in my yard.  I found this product by pure accident, and for $75 and free shipping, I thought why not?  It arrived in less than 48 hrs. My son, wife, and I were putting literally within minutes.  Set up was so easy. Took more time to untangle the clips from the chains than to actually connect the basket and chain hanger. For practice putting, I think this will work out great. There are no inner chains, but plenty of room to add them should I be inclined. Other reviews have, so that might be a possibility, depends how many puts go through both sides of the chains! It is easy to pick up and move. You don't even have to disassemble the whole thing. The pole will simply divide into two parts, leaving chain hanger on the top half and basket on the bottom for quick moving from one spot in the yard to another. All in all, I'm VERY pleased that I stumbled across this basket and it'll help all of us improve our short game, simply because we can now practice conveniently at home, whenever we want.  I'm anxious to see how it holds up to the Kansas seasons.
