The Supreme 02575 HY-Drive Pond Pump is a continuous duty pump that is designed to move large volumes of water silently and efficiently through filtration systems or to a waterfall, stream or fountain. It incorporates a high efficiency vortex impeller in conjunction with a ceramic impeller shaft and bearings to provide energy savings while maintaining high output.

This pump can be used submersed or inline, indoors or outdoors. Note that when used inline it should be placed below the water level since it is not self-priming. Never run this pump dry.

Rotor assembly is removable for simple cleaning maintenance. The unique design reduces the frequency of pump cleaning while maintaining optimum water flow. Overload protection is built in by means of a self resetting thermal overload switch.

Best Waterfall Pump Ever

I have a 45 foot creek with several small waterfalls in my side yard that goes down to a fish pond in the back yard, maybe a 5 or 6 foot rise total. Over the past 8 years I've tried every pump made in the $100-$200 price range and none of them have lasted more than a year. Some of them died within 6 months. I've had this pump for over 2 years running 24/7. It just now started acting up. I noticed it stopped in the middle of the night when I was on the back porch. I unplugged it and plugged it back in a few minutes later and it started up again. This morning it was stopped again. I took it out of it's filter box, cleaned out the filter box, hosed some leaves out of it and now have it sitting in a bucket of water running. I might not be dead yet. But if it is I'm buying another one just like it.

You don't need to baby this thing. I built a filter box for it and put screens on all sides but the screens would just get clogged up within a few days or weeks and I'd constantly have to clean them. On top I fastened a wire mesh over the pastic grate to catch any leaves from falling in and would have to rake it off at least once a week. Eventually the wire rusted through and I removed it which let small leaves get through but large debris would still get trapped on the plastic grate. The pump could care less about small leaves, apparently. Out they go! As long as sticks and large debris don't get sucked in it's fine. If they haven't changed the design since I bought my first one I'm sure I'll be equally happy with this one.

Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Yes
