Bought this for my son's second birthday and it was a huge hit. Other kids love it and they can play for hours (if they can share the cars/trains!) Only downside is that the tracks fall apart easily and I am constantly putting it back together. I may wan to glue it or secure it together but not sure how yet. For the price it is awesome...cheapest online and shipped immediately- supper fast! Would buy from this store again in a heartbeat.
We purchased this train table set for my 2 year old son for Christmas. We have it in his bedroom which surprsingly doesn't take up too much room. We really like the way the rolling drawer can be pulled out from both the front and back of the table.
The assembly of the main frame and rolling drawer was very simple. The instructions on how to do that were very clear by using a letter/number scheme. The hardest part of the whole thing was actually building the train tracks on top of the table. There was a sheet of paper that had a legend of the parts and a topographical map of where the parts should go, but a few of the curved parts inlcuded didn't match the list of parts shown on the legend. According to the legend there should have only been 1 curved piece with a guard rail but we had 3. Since there were a few variations to the angles of the curved pieces it made a little confusing as to which one went where, but after a little problem solving we figured it out.
Overall we are very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone considering it for a child between the ages 2 and 5. I'm not sure if a child over the age of 5 would hold interest in it too long. We have a 6 year old and she does play with it when we are all in my son's room, but doesn't go to play with it on her own.
