Manufacturer's Description:
LifeSmart Power Plus is a portable Amish Inspired Infrared Heater that is revolutionary in design to offer you safe, healthy and therapeutic heat for an unobstructed area of up to 1,200 square feet and save you money and energy.
Forced hot air furnaces (gas & electric) are 98% efficient at the source which is usually a closet or garage. By the time the heat reaches the heating duct in the room it is only 60%-70% efficient and the temperature can drift up to 18 degrees. The LifeSmart Heater is over 90% efficient in the room. This results in an immediate savings in your heating bill as well as less energy use which is great for environment!
LifeSmart Power Plus heater is smart for you and smart for the planet . This heater features more copper for greater heat transfer than any other heater in its class. The air quality emitted and its ultimate heating performance is due to an efficient and innovative design that incorporates the absorption of infrared energy. This allows production and circulation of purified heated air back into your desired space. The LifeSmart infrared quartz heater produces a soft, cozy heat that warms the air in much the same way the sun warms the earth and atmosphere by means of safe infrared absorption.

The Hype you read in advertisements on this type of heater about cheaper heating cost is not true!
Ran this heater and another regular electric heater tracking the power use.
Both use 1.5 kw per hour running on high (1.5 x 24 hours = 36 or less kw per day). You will use high if outside temperature
is below 40 degrees. The only difference is the LifeSmart has a stronger / louder fan and outside
cabinet stays cool to touch. Lifesmart is also big enough to use as an end table if you need another end table.
Lifesmart or any other one like this at a cost of $150.00 or less verses another regular heater at a cost of $80.00 or less
I would go with the Lifesmart type. Lifesmart is equal to or better than the other high end brand but you have to understand
the cost to operate is not less than any other 1500w heater.
Lifesmart would be safer around children or an elderly person who may bump into it (cool exterior).
I have seen these units advertise for a while now but was scheptical of how they work. I waited till a couple of friends bought some of a different brand and they seemed to love theirs so I gave in and bought one of these Lifesmart 1500w with 6 elements with copper heat exchangers from another company for $260 plus another $40 after shipping and taxes. I shopped around and found that Home Depot, Sam's Club and Sears all sell this unit online only but even higher. About a month later we found these with no shipping for a $100 less than what I paid for my first one online so I bought 5 for ourselves and family members. So far everyone that got one is happy with them. My aunt even had me to order her another one but the price on that one has gone up $15 more than the first five but it was still cheaper than the other three companies.
We have a gas heat furnace and gas logs but I have been trying to use the gas logs as much as possible because so much heat goes out the flue when the furnace is running and propane is so much higher now than it was when I built my house. Since we put one of these heaters in out bedroom and one downstairs, I keep my funace set so low that it never kicks on and the gas logs don't run as much as they have in the past. They might not be any cheaper than running a regular heater 1500 watt but I'm not burning as much gas, the wood cabinet doesn't get hot and the thing blows heat out with the quiet running fan inside it, and they also kick off and don't run continuously. I have to say they are perfect for all of our situations.
I bought this with some doubt and I guess the dramtic price drop proves the point. This heater is unable to reach the set teperature (68 degrees) in a 500 sq ft room. This includes me running the primary heat source set at 66 degrees. I let the room go down to 45 degrees at night so I use both heat sources to get it back to temperature. The Lifesmart can never take over and runs non-stopever getting above 66 degrees.
Additionally, after just several weeks of occassional use the fan is making a tremendous amount of noise. I will look into returning this thing but I fear shipping charges will cost me more than just junking it.
Certainly not the experience I had hoped for.
This heater is doing a wonderful job heating 2 rooms in my home. I have only had it a couple weeks so I'm not sure what the cost will be to run. Looks good, sturdy and of very good warmth.
My heater works well, and I am happy with it. It does display an E1 in the temp display. I do not know what this means, and it is not in the instruction bookley. Can any one tell me what it means? The unit shuts off when the display is there, so I believe it is an "ERROR 1" message. But I don't know why.

Overall this is a very good heater. We used Eden Pure heaters for several years and this works as well if not better. Operation is simple and the design is attractive.
I bought this unit for my 500 sq ft mobile home. I live in NH and I use propane heat so i was hoping to cut down on my propane use. Well since getting this unit I am very pleased to say that my furnace never runs.....it has gotten down into the low 20's already and i leave this heater on 68* on the low setting and it keeps the whole place that temp. I also run a med size fan on low to circulate the air around the house. As for the other review on here stating that this heater doesn't even warm thier 500 sq ft space, well all I can say to that is mine works great and i have a mobile home and mobile homes are very hard to heat. I have only had mine for about 3 weeks so i am not sure what the electricity bill will look like, but i'm not using any propane so its a trade off. I did have an issue with it today, it stopped working and was flashing E1...I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it has been working fine since...not sure what E1 means but am waiting to hear back from the manufacture to find out. Other than that, works great!
Wonderful stove......you won't go wrong purchasing this one. I shopped around and this one was the best...........it works great and the price was wonderful.
This heater was so impresive that I now have two of them. They heat a large area and cut off automatically when they reach the set temperature. My heat pump has hardly cut on even when outside temperatures have dipped down into the twenties.
We bought it for use in a spare bedroom when we have guest. It is now in our livingroom. Just bought another for guest bedroom!!!
