If you're looking for a simple and easy-to-use commercial blender at an affordable price – this is it. This Blendtec ICB3 Blender has been re-manufactured by a 3rd party (not Blendtec). The high-powered ICB3 blender will blend products like frozen fruit and vegetables, turning them into your favorite smoothies, sauces, salad dressings and even ice cream!
The Blendtec ICB3 counter top blender delivers high powered, one-touch blending. Initially created for use in bar wells, the footprint of the ICB3 is the smallest in the blending industry and has become the desired blender for bars, coffee shops, ice cream vendors and much more! At 13 amps, this blender packs a huge punch, and its 110v input means there's no need for custom electrical work. Simply plug it into your standard outlet and start blending. Included with the Blendtec ICB3 blender is a sound enclosure for quiet operation so you don’t have to worry about blender noise in the background.
This product is made in the USA and 1 year warranty is provided through VMInnovations.
Blendtec ICB3 Refurbished Product Note:
These units have been rigorously tested to ensure that they function as intended. Please note: signs of use & wear on the outside of the unit, like the jar or the base, is to be expected. The lid of the Blendtec ICB3 is designed to allow air escape during high speed blending and does not seal completely. This allows the Blender to be used in high traffic settings. To completely seal the Blendtec when in use, it is recommended that the Sound Shroud is removed and lid is held down.

You should not be selling this as a refurbished item. Refurbished indicated that it has been restored to Like New condition.
There is nothing like new about this item. The only thing that has been done is the counter has been reset. In this instance it is like a car with 100k miles that has had the odometer reset.
The casing is cracked and broken and the jar is just a mess.
These are severly used and should be sold as such.
Although most of refurbished items look good; this Blendtec doesn't. It shows spider web on the protective cover and extreme use on the jar and its cover top. Another word, at the price we've paid for it, it is OK but not reaaly a great deal.
I purchased this blendtec blender from them. It looks like it has been used for 1 million years. The enclosure is cracked with webs, lid was leaking the first time I used it and I spent an hour cleaned up the mess in my kitchen. It was a disaster. VMInnovations purchased used stuff, clean them up and sell them as "refurbished". It's not like most refurbs are actually returns in like new condition. I would give them nagative stars if I could. Like the previous feedback says, they shouldn't sell this as "refurbs", it's "used" and has never been reconditioned to the original condition. Be Warned!
This thing is a true beast. It crushes ice into dry cold dust and is easy to use. I'm tempted to buy another to put away in case this one ever dies. It's that amazing. I can't imagine not having a blender like this. If you've only owned blenders they sell at Target or Walmart, this thing will blow your mind.
Downside: Mine came in with some pretty obvious damage to the lid/sound cover. It's only that one piece, and the rest of it appears in perfect condition. I suppose this is part of the nature of a refurbished commerical device.
What I like most, is that this blender looks like it belongs in a smoothy shop, but it is in my kitchen. This is definetly like bringing a gun to a knife fight. You win every time! Do you need a blender like this? Probably not. Do you want a blender like this? Absolutely!
My wife and I ordered a refurbished blendtec ICB3 model recently after hearing about a special from slickdeals, and are happy to say that we received a completly functional blender that we have been using every day since it arrived. It's obviously used with a few stress cracks here and there on the sound enclosure but nothing that effects the functionality of the unit. I went ahead and picked up a new wildside jar for it and couldn't be happier making green smoothies everyday for breakfast. The lid was a little wonky on the unit I ordered from vminnovations, but when I called them they offered to issue a $25 partial refund for me to order a new lid, which I ended up applying toward a new jar. So I would vouch for the customer service and the quality of the products for these guys.
When I 1st unpacked the box with the new(to me ) blendtec from Innovations.com, I was somewhat disappointed, it really looked used! This turned to dismay when I plugged it in and tried to turn it on: IT DIDN'T RUN!! Tried several times, and called the 800 number in the invoice, was immediately connected to a caring person, said "dont worry we'll make it work." Asked a few more questions and told me another one was on its way. So, the "new" one arrived in 2 days, unpacked it, and noticed it looked quite a bit less worn. But the main thing is, it worked like a charm. THis was 1 year ago. After many jarfulls and cycles it still purrs powerfully along, and has outlasted several "beehive" blender bowls and motors, no problem at all. I do rate this a Best Buy.
This device is pre-programmed for Starbucks. It has four buttons (1, 2, Hi and Lo). 1 is a 15-second blend on low speed. 2 is a 15-second blend on high speed (starts slow then builds). Hi and Lo are pulse blend buttons that you have to hold. Hi blends faster than 2, but you have to hold the button. If you blend thick shakes, pastes, green juices (including fruit/veggie skins, ice, frozen items, whole apples, etc), you have to press 2 about 3 times (and wait for the 15-second cycle to complete each time before pressing 2 again). This thing blends everything, but because it was designed for use at coffee shops, it will require several cycles to do the job. That said, it's still faster and better than anything you will ever use, and it pulverizes anything in seconds.
It works with other jars from blendtec.com, like the Twister and Wildside. It's over 50% cheaper than a new machine that doesn't require so many presses of a button, but I'd happily press a button a few extra times a day to save $200 dollars. You can blend anything, any fruits and veggies in your fridge, and as long as you balance fruits with veggies, it will taste good and you can hide in extra nutritional supplements, green tea, anything, and you won't taste any one ingredient because it blends so well. Grab a juicing book and knock yourself out. I researched like crazy before I bought this thing and I'm happy I did. You can even get a 2-year warranty from SquareTrade to ensure it lasts even longer.
The product is great. I was originally scared to find to what degree the machine had been used. Would I be getting something that I would hate looking at every day? To my surprise and appreciation the machine I recieved only had minor cosmetic issues. I was extremely happy. I think purchasing from this company is possibly a gamble. Are you willing to pay return shipping if you are unhappy with the first one you get?
The machine is an old starbucks one and it only appears to have two preprogrammed options. However with a little research. You find that there are two ghost buttons and this machine has 30 pre-programmed blend cycles. http://commercial.blendtec.com/media/pdf/commercial/CycleChart.pdf. there are really 6 buttons. 1, 2, 3 (ghost button) , 4 (ghost button), 5 (low), and P (high).
I use this for everything! green smoothies (this machine eats up celery stalks and whole carrots. quartered apples and much much more.. icecream shakes (needs more milke than I though to blend). chopped nuts.
couldn't be more pleased. [...]
happy blendinig
Love this blender... makes smoothies in quick order with minimal effort. Blends frozen fruit to a perfect smooth texture... exactly as you would expect from a fancy shop. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the lid does not close tightly, and as a result, non-frozen drinks splash quite a bit. With the housing down though, the mess is contained. Before I owned this, I thought people who spent $500 on a blender were crazy. Now I understand! I will never go back to a cheap blender. This is truly like flying coach your whole life, then stepping up to 1st class.
I use the product for making smoothies. I like that it really does blend whatever to a fine and almost unnoticeable result. The first time I used it its started smoking and smelled like burnt rubber. I was able to see that it was coming from the rubber under the pitcher that was, for some reason touching the base causing it to smoke and chunk out. It hasn't had that issue since but now anytime I put any sort of liquid into the used pitcher, it leaks:( Needless to say I'm not entirely thrilled with this product and would've rather spent the money on a different brand blender that was new.
<span>I am enjoying my Commercial Blendtec Deal. </span>
<span>My husband and I debated about this purchase. I was going to buy a blendtec or vitamix either way. Costco, at the time, had the Blendtec (with second carafe) for $399 and the vitamix for $499. This one, at the time, was $199 with shipping. Still, those are HOME grade models, if they were commercial models, why does Blendtec have different models? </span>
<span>The complaints we were aware of were:</span>
<span>1) cracked housing - okay send it back</span>
<span>2) the carafe leaking oils - okay buy a new carafe $100, total cost $299</span>
<span>3) the carafe rubber housing leaking - okay buy a new carafe $100, total cost $299</span>
<span>4) the lid popping off - just put a towel on the lid and close second cover, or ORDER a new lid from blendtec get the "NEW Gripper Lid" cost $10 plus shipping. So around $25. (www.blendtec.com/categories/accessories) Side note: TON OF ACCESSORIES there.</span>
<span>Well, our logic was this. You get a USED model so it's dinged up and a bit scratched (which ours wasn’t) with a 1 year warranty. IF, there is an issue we take it to a repair shop and still have another $100 to $200 to fix it up. A little bit of a gamble. The fine print on most warranties after a year only covers the motor. Why? because really it's the least likely thing to break. The plastics, the electronics is more likely. </span>
<span>We've had it now for over a week. We did order a new carafe, it was discounted from Amazon when we ordered. We figured we might as well. </span>
<span>It's EASY clean up, if you do it right after you blend. KEY!! If you wait the fiber from fruit/veg gets stuck like glue. If you waited to long to clean it soaking it in HOT water for 10 min or so makes easy work of cleaning it. </span>
<span>The rest of the unit Really easy to wipe down after. It stays out on my counter as it gets used at least 2-3 times a day between all the family, which still in ONE week we probably use it less then Starbucks did in one day. </span>
<span>Ya, the carafe that it comes with is (my guess) from Starbucks it lists Grande, Venti sizes on the side. The new krafe I got has OZ or ML on the side. I kinda like the Starbucks one it lets you know where to fill liquid to and how high to fill fruit/veg and ice to for my to go containers so I don’t waste stuff. </span>
<span>I'm making GREEN smoothies. Orders of operation and user errors have been my solo problem. Lessons I've learned for making a great smoothie are: Blend liquid and greens first, then add the fruit, then the veg and ICE on TOP and then blend. Also, don’t Wedge things in it has to be able to FALL into the Blades. Also, if you don’t have a VORTEX then you need more liquid. Last, if you juice carrots / beets / veg or Use coconut water / coconut milk or orange juice the flavors are less watered down.</span><span> </span>
<span>Last weekend I was at COSTCO and they were demoing the Blendtec and I walked away giggling. I would have had to buy a new LID anyways. It didn’t come with the GRIPPER LID. HA!! </span>
<span>IF WE RUN INTO ISSUES in the next YEAR I’ll let you know how VMinnovations deals with that. Otherwise, it’s on our shoulders, Like I said it was a bit of a gamble. </span>
I received my blender in 1 day (happen to live in the same city as vm). It looks nearly new and ran perfectly fine in my first blend! Maybe I just got lucky but Im certainly satisfied with the product I recieved.
This is one of the sturdiest pieces of kitchen equipment I have every seen! My wife and I both worked at Starbucks and this was the exact blender we used there. This thing seriously shreds! I would highly recommend it!
After reading some of the previous reviews I was afraid of what we would pull out of the box after it arrived. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised of the good condition of the blender. This machine makes the smoothest margaritas that I have ever had. I can't say enough about the quality of the product for the price we paid.
I was a little apprehinsive to order this at first but after searching the web and seein the price of other units I took a chance. I was looking for a blender that would produce the same kind of smoothies that are sold in smoothie shopps and coffee shopps all over. I unpacked this unit and was pleasently suprised with condition some miner cracks but nothing that effected the function of the unit. Right away I wanted to fire this thing up and make a smoothie. Let me tell you I am very excited and exstactic with the outcome. This unit produced a smoothie better than anything I have ever purchashed in a shoppe. I highly recommend this to anyone that is a smoothie fanatic. By the way I own an Ninja 1100 that I will never use again the ninja makes a grainy smoothie and only used a couple of times because of that. I will use the machine several times a day. Doctor telling you you need to lose weight want to eat healthier order this machine you will not be disapointed.
Thank you VM Innovations for providing this product at a great price with quick shipping and great customer service.
WE USED IN ARE SHAKE SHOP EVERY DAY .WE LIKE THE BLENDER WEN WE BLEND SEVERAL SHAKE.WE DONT LIKE THE SOUND.
It is worth the money...less time required with better results
Based on reviews online, it looked like ordering this was like buying a lottery ticket. Well, I won! My blender works fabulously. It came packaged well. It looks nice. The itself is scratched up, but nobody can see that. It looks great and works great. Thanks!
We have used the blender three times and have been satisified with it each time. I have seen demonstrations that show the blender doing more than I can make it do.
unit is great. aside from some expected "wear" on the sound-dampening case, it's in pretty good cosmetic condition as well. works as expected, so far, it can blend the **** out of anything. i think it's a refurb from Starbucks, but whatever, at 200 bucks it's a steal. a new consumer-grade blendtec is $450-500, and a commercial grade one like this is far more , so i'll take my chances!
Great blender. Literally makes snow from ice cube. Mine arrive in olive green which is fine. Black would of been nice but its alright.
Good condition base unit, the pitch ok but diffinately in used condition. Lots of micro cracks near the base but should last. Lid however is not seal tight as liquid WILL spill. Not sure if I'm missing a gasket or ?
The sound enclosure makes sure messes are self contain. Doesn't really makes it quieter though.
Electronic counter is reset to Zero so don't know how many operations there was before I got mine. Has Single and Multi button as well as Lo and High. Wish I could self program the Single or Multi myself without having to purchase a programmer to do it. I many times has to do the Multi button 2 or 3 times. (Of couse I can keep my finger on the lo/high pulse button but why?). Says in the in description free programming but they never ask what I wanted when I ordered.
All in all, a great powerful commercial blender that will last a long time for home useage. I may need to buy another pitcher or lid as that's the only thing that kind of bugs me.
A very rugged, well-built blender. Works amazingly well and looks like it will continue to do so for years to come. Only reasons I didn't give 5 stars: a) it's so huge it won't fit under my kitchen cabinets (sort of expected this); b) usually a refurbished product get's at least new external plastic so it looks new. Not so here, but it's sturdy enough that a few little scratches on the plastic don't affect it's perfromance.
This is the first real blender I've owned. It puts my KitchenAid to shame in terms of power. Don't expect a brand new blender, as there are some signs of wear but it is mostly cosmetic. The only functional issues with it were a leaky lid (can get a new one for <$10). The bearing on the blender jar was gummed up and was difficult to spin by hand. I lubricated it with some silicone and it spins freely now. Overall the blender is great and a super value fo the money.
The BlendTec ICB3 Blender is not your ordinary appliance. It is a serious commercial grade blending machine. The blades are not sharp like normal blenders, so cleaning is a breeze, and while still fairly loud, it has a lower pitch noise that is not nearly as grating as your household blender. I love everything about it except the color and the lack of buttons/speed control. For frozen drinks ( like I assume it was used for originally ) it does wonders, you press single or multiple and away it goes.. delivering frosty, creamy perfection every time. Absolutely a wonderful product at an amazing price. I have used it more than the number of days I have had it =] and I intend to keep doing so.
My refurbished Blendtec just arrived today!! Maybe it was just luck, but the appearance of my machine is great!! I feel so good after consuming my first green smoothie made with my 'new to me" Blendtec! Thank you so much!! I am a happy customer!
Have only had blender for a couple of weeks, loved everything about it from the ease of use to the increadible blending properties. The only drawbacks are lack of instruction book (used my daughters) and the fact is came with some substantial cracks in the bottom of the mixing bowl. The company however, was more than willing to replace the mixing bowl and issued a return authorization immediately. Would definetly recommend this product to anyone interested in this type of a mixer!
Like others have said, this is a previously owned, used, commercial blender from Starbucks. I think the term refurbished should state this is not any way close to "as new" condition. My model came with an obvoiously noticeable number of cracks in the outer chamber of the machine but not on the plastic jar. The lid is indeed loose fitting and anything overly watery, will produce leaks even if you hold the lid down with your own hands. If you are concerned about the jar, replacement ones can be found on ebay or direct from blendtec from $50-100. I paid $155 after a coupon from bradsdeals.com and consider it a fairly good value even with all of the above limitations. You can easily spend 2-3X this amount for a brand new blendtec or a vitamix.
The price was really great for a BlendTec blender. Having that type of power in a blender is awesome, and to get it for under $200 was unbelievable. The drawback was that it was super scratched up and looked pretty used. It seemed like these were the blenders that the guy was using on willitblend.com to blend up rakes and ipads. However, the two that I bought both worked.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>
This Blender can handle frozen fruit and ice without fail. Every cheap blender for houshold use only last months! A typical household blender will begin to smell from burning up in no time, this smel l is the beginning of the end. The Blendtec is a tougher machine and can handle making multiple smoothies over and over without fail. It's comforting to know this unit will handle our needs without letting us down.
Cosmetically my product showed it had a lot of previous use but that is why it is so deeply discounted. It still smells like Starbucks. You could probably pick up a blender at the store for $60 dollars that will do the same thing but this one does it faster and appears to be more durable, so I am hoping it will last longer.
