HUSQVARNA 455R Rancher 20-Inch 56cc Gas Powered Chainsaw (Refurbished)

The saw did not arrive in the condition I thought it should have. I have purchased refurbished Makita and Dewalt tools and they performed as if purchased new. The Husqvarna saw arrived and I could not get the clutch cover off. Also some plastic parts should excessive wear that I would have thought a refurbishment would have replaced

This is a very good Chainsaw for a home owner/land owner. If and when you remove the bar and chain, make sure the Chainbrake is UNLOCKED. this is very importent, otherwise you will be fighting with the side cover for an hour or more to unlock it!

Very nice saw, and still a very good deal.  I would buy it again for certain.  However, don't let the picture fool you.  While the saw is refurbished, and will look like new, the bar you will get is a refurb as well, and arrives in handpainted primer gray.  Mine was still in good condition.  The chain also is a resharpened refurb.  This is where I had my issue.  While the blade was sharp it was stretched to the point that it would no longer fit on the saw.  Thus, I had to buy a new one locally, for about $30.  Again, I still love the saw, and don't think you can beat this deal, shipping is fast and everything else with it is great,  just keep in mind you are not getting a shiny new bar and chain.  Most importantly, that the chain, while sharp, might be stretched too far to work.  For those curious, the numbers on the chain match the replacement, as does the link count.  After this initial frustration, the saw is a beast, and starts and operates very well.

This saw kicks butt. used it hard all day without any problems. service from vminnovations was outstanding.

I have been using chainsaws for over 30 yrs. I started climbing in New orleans in 83 for Davey tree. they used the old homelite xl 12's.

I started using stihl in the late 80's but the last one I owned just did not measure up...I borrowed a Husky to finish up the job my stihl let me down on...When it came time to purchase I went with this saw for stump removals. It didn't cut as well as i liked so I ordered a skip tooth chain for it and it really does a great job. cuts wood like a hot butter knife on butter.

This saw is commercial quality. It has huge power and cuts smooth,it will handle any wood with ease. The service and shipping was amazing.

Pro: Powerful, most saws create sawdust, this one makes wood chips!  Easy to start and operate as described. 

Con: Should include a scabbard like a new one.

I have cut two pickup loads of wood so far. Saw cuts like a champ. I hope it will last in the long run. Only draw back is it is mostly plastic. All other saws I own are older but made of metal. 

We have a ranch with lots of trees.  The chain saw does a great job cutting down the dead trees for firewood and trimming the others.  My prior saw was a Craftsman made in China; it was hard to start and leaked bar/chain oil when stored.  I have not experienced any negative problems with this refurbished Husqvarna.  I would have saved myself alot of headaches and money if I had purchased this saw in the first place.  Also, I felt it was a fair price for a quality refurbished chain saw that works so well.

Just received the package 5 Days ago. and it looked great out of the box!

You could see signs of prior usage, But unnoticeable at 5'.<br /><br />already hacked-up a huge willow!       Awesome buy!

If it didnt come in a box saying it was refurbished I wouldn't have known it was other than the primerd bar, this thing looks and runs like new! cut 3 loads of hardwood today giving it a good work out and workd flawless just as expected!!! I will for sure be shopping here in the future for saws. I couldnt be happier, Thanks vminovations for the great deal!!!!!!!

   THE 455R is a  RUGGED FORESTRY TOOL. MY 455R was used for PROFESSIONALLY  FELLING ,LIMBING ,BUCKING. I like the RELIABLITY & QUALITY of the 455R, for ( ME ) a sutiable fit . -*DO NOT BUY BIG NAMES* NOT WHAT is popular . buy what will best fit (YOUR) needs .  

Currently at local dealer being repaired--bar oiler does not work.

Dear Sirs<br />I order the Husqvarna 455 Rancher on Friday 11-25-2011 and received it on the following Wednesday. Thank you very much for such a quick delivery. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try it out until today which is Friday again. After putting in the correct gas mix and chain oil it started right up, no problems. The recent winds had blown down a couple large limbs from one of the trees out back, so I had a good excuse to try out this new beast. Believe me it did NOT take long to have a pile of eighteen inch logs cut up. This saw runs like a stripped assed ape does through butter. Turned out to be a sweet deal for me when someone was so foolish as to return it back to the dealer. The only reason I can think of someone doing such a thing like that is, the Husky was to much saw for them. I’ve cut wood since 1978, the Husky is a highly dependable saw.

I use this saw to cut abou six ricks of firewood oer year. It starts easy every time.

Very happy with saw, price, & prompt delivery.  Needed a larger saw to make log cutting a little easier, although saw is heavy; the weight is very usefull when cutting large & dry logs. Husqvarna is a great product, can't tell it is refurbished!
