This the best purchase ever made for our above ground pool. Our Intex 16x48 pool came with the standard pump that uses the filters , and let me tell you this was a nightmare. Not to tell you the amount of chemicals we had to use daily and still never stayed clean. So we shopped around for a sand filter pump as our last option . This was the ticket . Our pool has had chemicals added when we first installed the pump and NONE since. All the levels are right on after ten days. Also our temps here in Texas have been the hottest this summer EVER. If you are having the same type of issue with your pool , trust me. BUY ONE , it will pay for itself in no time just by what you save in chlorine. Last thing this company had the best price out of ALL web based companies. Don't even try and buy one at a store near you ,we checked and they priced for double. Hope this helps you out.

This filter pump has cut down on the amount of pool chemicals that I needed to use to keep my pool water clean and clear.  This pump is hands down better than the pump that came with the pool. The extra flow that it provides circulates the pool water better and makes cleaning the bottom of the pool with the vaccuum a beeze.  i highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking to upgrade to a sand filter.

This has been just what we needed for our 18ft above ground pool. Keeping the pool crystal clear has been easy. Have backwashed it once and it was an easy thing to do. Just need a place for the water to go. The pressure is awesome. I don't know why we waited so long using the pump that came with the pool. I vacuum the pool in a fraction of the time now. I'd highly recommend this pump.
