Last year I purchased 2 of these saws for the christmas tree season. Each saw cut over 500 trees for stands without any issues. Easy as pie with no gass fuss. Electrics have their own purposes but for me I couldn't ask for to much more out of a 40 dollar saw! I got one as a spare this year but who knows the same 2 orignional saws may make it through another 500+ trees. That works out to 8c a tree.
This electric beast spits out wood shavings even when it's whole bar is buried in the pine! I didn't expect much more than a pruning saw but the longer I was cutting the braver I got until I had this saw buried in the wood and it just sliced it's way through with very little complaint. I refuse to buy Homelite gas powered equipment but this was electric and priced like a disposeable so I figured what the heck. If you know how to work a saw, you will be impressed with what you can get done with this little beast!
This is a great product for all smller projects around the house that needs to be trimmed, trees, cacti, bushes, and small plants. The product is great and the value can't be beat anywhere.
see my other review this one I had purchased as a back up an hasn't even been out of the box yet. The other saw has cut over 300 more trees this season.
Easy to set up and maintain, powerful enough to accomplish any cutting around the house that you have to do quickly. Quick access screws allow you to put on and take off the chain easily and to tighten it as needed. Self-oiling system works and keeps the blade lubricated during use. Hardest part of setup is untangling the chain.
It works for pinch jobs. Dont tackle nothing serious with it though. Bar and chain can be a little tricky to get right.Goes thru allot of bar oil. But Does what it needs to do.
Great for trimming tree's cutting fire wood.
The saw is light an easy to use.
I love everything about the saw.
I love electric chainsaws. Doesn't matter what brand of electric 'cause all my gas powered ones are door stops after a year or so. And is it my imagination? The chains on the electrics seem to last longer than my gas powered ones. The other day I cut up a giant 40" oak except for the main trunk, and I worked that trunk down to a manageable size. It was handy having two electics because I seem to get one stuck occasionally.
Only bad thing is fighting off zombies. If the town loses power which will happen when all the electric company guys turn into zombies, you are better off with a nice Cree LED flashlight and a shotgun. Or a gas powered chainsaw. Electric won't cut it.
bar and chain come loose in box. in trying to assemble, the c-clip and flat washer holding the drive sprocket came off. tried to put back but c-clip/snap ring has no spring to it and was stretched. that's why it came off in the first place. will buy new one tomorrow and report back.

installed new c-clip and assembled saw. turned on saw and chain jumped off. opened case and found new c-clip had jumped off. looked closely at motor shaft and found groove shallow and rounded. will not hold c-clip. returning unit.

see my photo on product page.
I bought this to remove a large tree/shrub in my back yard. I read the manual, set it up and did quite a bit of cutting the first day. So far it is cutting really well. I only have a couple of complaints:
The saw was a little bit dirtier than I expected but the chain looked new to me. I bought this saw on special and don't think I could have rented one any cheaper so I am very happy with my purchase.
My home owners assoc. ordered me to cut back the trees touching my home. They quoted a cost of $100.00 to trim a few branches. They gave me the option of having it done myself. Your chain saw saved mr aprox. $60.00. I ordered the saw for approx. 40 bucks and it is a quality product. I recommend this!
I was amazed at how well it can power through some heavy timbers. Very economical for breaking down the big stuff around the house, when you have an outlet nearby. Considered getting another.
Good small chain saw. Useful with small bushes, branches and trimming.
Need to be extremely careful with electric cord during use.
