I have this beast pushing two Kicker 10cvrs in a custom made sub enclosure by Zenclosures. It sounds awesome. 900rms is no joke, and the bass remote is a nice bonus. High end performance for a great price. Well worth the money.!
I purchased this amp several months ago. When I first picked it up I set it up on a pair of the HFi124 subs (yes I know way over rated power). I didn't lean on it at all but I was impressed with the way this amp sounds. SS dialed around 30hz, deck crossover at 80hz, no bass boost and gains dialed in for a little over 1100 watts on a 0db tone, the amp never missed a beat. Quite a bit cleaner in the upper frequencies than the audiopipe amps I had recently installed. I changed out the HFi's for a pair of Phoenix Gold RSDs and have finally got to lean on this amp. It has never missed a beat. I've never felt it get hot even running 1 ohm for extended periods of time. The blue LED lit top is a nice attractive touch. This amp feels solid when you handle it, everything about it screams quality. In my personal opinion you won't find a better 1200 watts for this price. Also SMD forums clamp tested this amp and it produced 1400 watts, so you're getting what you pay for here!
i ordered this amp among other things ( components, head unit, installation material) and recived it the very next day. hows that for free shipping. this amp, although not the most efficiant amp ( its power hungry have the electrical to back it) is a great budget amp. i have it running 2 Obsidian audio 12's wired to 1 ohm. It pushes them really well and only gets a little warm. great amp for the money!!
great amp! the brutus line of amps by hifonics is the only decent line of amps they have that will do rated, would recommend this amp to anyone looking to push some subs with serious power! just make sure you have batteries to back it up.
I have this amp hooked up to 2 12" Audiobahn Aw1200q's 4.5CF@38Hz. For the price, I don't think there is a better amp. I'm not sure about the power ratings though. The difference in sound between 4 ohms and 1 ohm doesn't seem like 450 watts to 1200 watts. That being said, it's a solid amp. It doesn't overheat, even at 1 ohm mono. I'd suggest this amp to anyone looking to add power but on a limited budget. The Hifonics logo lights up in blue and looks great which is a plus. It also comes with a bass knob, allowing you to turn it way down when you need to.
Just the powerful i was hoping for. Very nice amp. I have 2 rockford fosgate he2 12" subs wired at 1 ohm in sealed boxes behind my truck seats and it pounds so hard it makes my back itch from going numb in about 3 mins of playing, also the reear view mirror fell off. So worth the price i might get another just to have! It has the power of a rockford amp and hardly gets warm. BUY IT!!!
I've have had it about 1 month. It runs twice a day for 40 minutes @ 70-80% power most of the time (long highway drive). It gets warm but not hot. The internal power switch (after initial power up) sounds very heavy duty, which i appreciate. The gain was set with 50Hz tone @ 34.6V A/Current on the DMM for a 1 ohm setup. the blue light matches the theme of my truck, so that worked out as a bonus. Overall, it's a great buy & really reliable.
This amp right here is a straight beast. I got 3 twelves on this amp and they are hifonics hfi hf12d4. When i turn it up its just quaken making people get out the way. And be looking like damn that shit loud. I would highly recommend this amp to anyone who's trying to get one. Hifonics Brutus is a beast and the best. 3 12's each sub 600 watt 300 rms makes a total of 900 rms and im still pushing them.
This amplifier is very nice. I have two lanzar opti 12's running off this at 2ohm and my rearview mirror wont stay on. It puts lighters out and shakes my side mirrors. I had this amp on full blast for a couple hours and I noticed no heat from the amp. I kinda wish I spent 50 dollars more and got a brutus with a little more watts but if your reallly into car audio you understand its never enough, always gotta get louder! Overall excellent equipment well worth the price. Performs as well as my old rockford fosgate punch 800a2.
Well worth the money.. i have this pushing a 12" ts-w3002d1 rated 1000w rms in a ported box and running the system in 1 ohm... i love it.. plenty of power and has never given me a problem yet.. I would def recommend this amp.
Before this i had the Hifonics Bxi608 pushing the sub, but at only 600w rms at 1 ohm, it just doesn't do the sub justice.I currently have this powering my pioneer ts-w3002d2, i have it running in 1 ohm. Hits lows with eaze and suprisingly hard. Finally i can feel my chest vibrate lol. My only downfall is not having the big three done and a more powerful alternator. Although, even the way my setup is now it does power the sub VERY nice... you will be heard lol. My ported box right now is too small.. so ill be building a bigger ported box soon. The amp is well worth the money.. If you ask me dont skimp out on anything in your system, but thats not to say you cant find good deals, but always do your research. A++ on this one.
