Ryobi RY34440 30cc 4-Cycle Gas String Trimmer (Refurbished)

I bought this trimmer a few days ago after seeing it in home depot. home depot = $200. vminnovations = $75 with coupon code. Yes its referbuished but that doesnt matter to me. i received it yesterday, opened it up, and assembled it in no time at all. It was is great condition for being referbuished too. I filled it up with ryobi 4 stroke oil that I bought from home depot and then some gas. I primed it a few times and it started right up. I didn't even have to choke it. I have read a lot of reviews on this product and majority are negative. Number one complaint is that it leaks oil. well remember it is a 4 stroke. It has a crankcase. If it is stored upright it will leak. Lay it flat!!! It has unbelievable power. I have an edger attachment for it also and it works great with it. The edger works a lot better with the 4 stroke. My 2 stroke ryobi would get bogged down when edging sometimes.

I bought one of these and it would not start after Winter storage.  AFTER I wrote to Vimonations about it I discovered that I had hung it up wrong way and oil had got into the cylinder.  Cleaned out oil in cylinder last year and STILL a great little machine.

Bought refurbishes, works great - just store it level (horizontal) so the oil doesn't leak and then it will run fine.

It is good product, Two times I have been used, so far so good.

Read the other reviews, leaks oil all over the place, no local company will repair it.  $90.00 in the toilet.  BEWARE

I was looking for a new trimmer, my old Ryobi trimmer died.  Being the tightwad that I am I started looking for something else cheap.  My old Ryobi was a refurb also and it was a cheap price.  I found this sight by looking at their items on eBay.  I figured that for the money I would give it a try.  After filling the crankcase with oil and putting gas in the tank, the trimmer started right up.  It has plenty of power and is much quieter than my old one.  There are some smudges and scuffs on the plastic, you can tell it is not new, but for the price who cares?  It was delivered promptly by FeEx also.  

The order shipped very fast. As seen in the review, after adjusting the idle speed, I can start it without problem. I use it for lawn edge trimming. I still need a little more practice since it is different than the wireless trimmer I used before. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

Started second pull, ran great, lots of power... spent too much time determing ho wmuch oil to put in the crankcase. There should be a card included that tell you "add xxx onces of xxxx oil to crakcase before starting"
