Overall I like this safe. Really good idea as a home safe for a policer officer. Would be nice if the fingerprint scan worked everytime, but it doesn't. You have to make multiple scans of the same finger so that the safe can open with out delay.

Nice handgun safe for over the bed (and under a picture). False bottom perfect for ammo clips. Install was per directions (no issues getting to all 4 screws (someone had an issue - can't imagine why). As noted by others, the beeping is annoying and should be user disableable. Also, the light should have a switch - it goes out real fast and it would be nice to be able to keep it on (sure it would drain the battery - but that can be recharged). I keep a flashlight inside - but still. The biometric scanner works well - so the added piece of paper in the directions to take multiple impressions of your finger was a bit bothersome - can't really do a lot of that with 2 users. Why not add more memory? But as noted - it opens well with the finger print scan. Also the code can be used as a back up opening method. Overall, it looks and feels solid and well built.

Fits well on wall

This product arrived in the original packaging but appeared to have been opened and returned by another consumer. We set it up in a closet behind hanging clothing which is working great for us. Fortunately we have an electrical outlet nearby. The valt has a rechargable battery needed for operation and the charge lasts about one month. There is a low battery sound to alert you when it is time for a charge. The size is sufficient for our needs which would be to protect valuables while we are out of town. I would not use this to replace a safe deposit box in a bank vault. We purchased this valt at a sale price which was a fair price for this item. If I were to do it over I would go with a more simple design if available - no batteries, no fingerprint entry, etc.
