My 7yr old son has wanted a dirt bike for ever, my husband and I took about a year to find the a bike that was a perfect fit and didn't break the bank. I have to say Baja motorsports and VM inovations delivered big time. Not only was the price right up our alley but VM innovations had the bike here in no time. Though the bike did have some flaws when were got it but VM innovations fixed the issue and they were prompt and helpful in resolving the issue. We will forever be VM innovation customers. Honestly, when I bought the bike I was concerend that it was to good to be true, but I did some research on the company and I felt comfortable making our purchase.
The bike was so easy to assemble, and my husband and I do not have any back ground in working on dirt bikes. We had it running in no time! Though it does take some time getting used to if you have never started a dirt bike before. The automatic clutch is hard for my son to shift, but we usually get it in 2nd for him and he is off and running. I don't know if that is recomended for the bike, but it wasn't a huge investment so I am not concerend with him doing that. I am sure with in the next couple of weeks my son will be doing everything on his own, but until then we help him out.
My 6 year old loves this motorcycle, but he is not able to shift gears. It is hard for me to shift gears and I have been riding for many years. Overall, a very dependable motocycle for the money.
My 10 year old scrimped and saved for this bike. We ordered on a Friday and received it the following Monday. The shipping was crazy fast, which is almost unheard of, especially for free shipping.
The bike itself came pretty much fully assembled. I attached the handlebars and gearshift and of course had to change the oil in it, but it came pretty much ready to go.
It shipped upside down for some reason (I'm new to dirt bikes too, so this may be a common practice) so a considerable amount of oil leaked onto the rest of the bike. The owner's manual is straight to the point but vague in some areas. (There's a short rubber hose I think goes on the gas cap but I'm not sure because it doesn't specify anywhere - it shows it in one of the pictures on here though).
The gear shift is my only concern, it's near impossible to shift up. Going from 1st to Neutral, then Neutral to 2nd, 3rd or 4th requires me to actually reach down with my hand and lift it up. To find neutral to start it, I always click it all the way down to first gear, then pull up one to get to neutral and I get varrying results as to whether it's actually in neutral.
So far the kiddo enjoys it, even though he can't get it out of first gear. All together though, it is a great starter bike.
I ordered this for my son's 9th birthday present. The original shipment got damaged by FedEx, and when I called VMInnovations they immediately shipped out a new one, without waiting to the get the damaged one back. It arrived in a heavy box, and was inside of a metal cage. I was happily surprised that the only assembly required was attaching the handle bars and gear shifter to the frame, which was pretty easy. My son loves this bike, and has ridden it every day since we got it. It was the lowest price I've seen for a gas powered 50cc dirt bike, and it looks like the quality so far is pretty good! Make sure you remind your kid not to touch the exhaust pipe, as mine has burnt himself twice now lol. The only minor complaint is that sometimes it takes him a few tries to shift into neutral. Overall, we are very happy.
when it got to my house i opened the box and it was covered in oil. Also the seat was ripped in the back and there was afew scratches. After the second day of riding the gas starting leaking from the carb.
100% my child absolutely adores it. She is 14 years old, and she rides it everyday. It's a great beginner bike, and a wonderful addition for something fun to do. Amazing, I even ride it sometimes. No complaints, very sturdy, we have rode it off jumps before. Really great for outdoors; however I would not recommend it indoors, we tried that and it goes too fast for the "in-the-house" type of use. We broke alot of furniture with it. That being said, I'm clarifying that you ride it outdoors, not indoors. It's great! Hope my advice helped, and I hope you have a hell of alot of fun with this little thing!!! We sure do! :D

The bike at first was a rough start the gears of course were bad then after riding it more and more the gears get little smoother. This is an awesome bike and very cheap for a 50cc dirt bike.
Baja has discontinued parts for this bike. It's very poorly made.
My son had his for 1 day before it was off to the shop for 6 weeks to be worked on, Baja took their sweet time to get the parts to the repair shop so that it could be fixed.
Back tire and inner tube got popped and just recently found out that Baja discontinured them. Spend your money on a quality bike! I'll NEVER!buy another Baja product again! JUNK!!! PURE JUNK!
