Ordered on a Sunday and arrived on Wednesday. Unpacked, assembled and inspected. Item in like new condition with just a minor blemish or two. First time I used it was with a bush trimmer attachment trimming bushes at our country church. Was a little hard to start the first time and did not want to idle but after trimming for a couple hours and getting it a broke in a bit it starts/idles much better. A few weeks later got it out to do some heavy duty trimming around the acrage. Used on tall grasses various smaller weeds and tough burdock. Takes a while to get through the big burdock but it does it. Tall grass does not wrap around the head as much as my old Echo and the trimmer line spool is easier to reload than the Echo. The shaft is not as long as the Echo and I am fairly tall so I little less comfortable to run but did a great job. The main issue I had was when standing at the bottom of a tall road bank and holding the trimmer higher I would bump it against my body and hit the kill switch, stopping it dead. This happened several times. Had no issues when working on level or down slopes. Also used it to trim a couple of evergreen bushes at my own house that day with the trimmer attachment. Ran through at least 6 tanks of gas and it ran fine all day. I am very happy and do not regret this purchase at all. Would recommend this item to others
Trimmer was shipped fairly fast. Item is definitely reconditioned. The choke tab/lever was broke off. I am still able to use it but it is about half the length it should be. Looks like the previous owner let if fall off or bang against something and it broke off. I am still able to move the choke tab/lever in order to start the trimmer but it is not something you want to see when you unbox an item. Also has a lot of scratches, scuffs, grass stains on both plastic and metal parts. Has a #23 written on it (probably for commercial use purposes although I can't verify this). Gas/oil resevoir was yellowed. Parts that appear to be new are the air filter and trimmer guard. I did not inspect the carb or spark plugs so I cannot say if they are new or not but I doubt a full engine dismantle was done because the broken choke tab wasn't even replaced. My main concern now is how well the previous owner cared for the trimmer's engine and what gas/oil was used. Having said that the trimmer has started up fine everytime I have used it, total of 6 or so times now, and it has a fairly high amount of power. Happy with the product although I feel like a more obvious disclaimer should be in place to avoid unsatisfied customers and a high rate of returns.
Nice trimmer - well built - powerful enough to keep my 1/3 actre in tip top shape
powers ryobi attachments I had better than I ever thought they would work, leaf blower even blew mulch & gravel across drive, edger also works better than before, cant wait to try out the tiller. The engine is a hoss.
I bought this due to the awesome reviews online as well as being able to go into Lowe's and check it out first hand. I saved over $100 buying it refurbished through VM Innovations and it ships directly from Husqvarna. A small piece of the muffler guard was broken (plastic piece) during shipping. VM Innovations refunded me $15 to cover the cost of the part (they tried to order it first). Very fair and responsive. This one is heavier than my lightweight curved shaft Craftsman, but I didn't buy it to be lighter, I bought it to outlast my last one. And I wanted a power head that could handle any attachments I want to get for it in the future.
This trimmer showed up looking like brand new at basically 30% off retail. Was using it within minutes. I don't know why I goof around with other brands, Husqvarna has proven itself a superior brand for consumer use. So I also bought a chainsaw, which I've yet to use or review, and have had a Husky backpack blower for a few years. Can't go wrong with Orange!
This trimmer is a beast. The power is amazing and weight might be heavy if you've used a homeowner trimmer. This is a Pro/Am unit, I used it in my lawn business and couldn't be happier. All of my attachment fit and work great! Gets a bit hot so dont rest it on your forearm while using.
This product is for home use. Ordered straight shaft, innovations sent out curve shaft. Contacted Innovations about problem, supplied information for free return. Innovations received wrong product back, everything check out OK after return. Innovations shipped out straight shaft product with no problems. Certified Factory Reconditioned equipment performs excellent. After process for re-shipping, received product within two buisness days. I give 5 STAR satisfactory.
Product is exactly what I ordered. It arrived in two days, well packaged, product is clean and attractive. Looks new except for the "R" carved into the plastic (and it arrived in a Husquvarna box that said reconditioned on it). It started right up the first and subsequent times. I have used it with its trimmer attachment and also an after market hedge trimmer from Lowes. Both work well.
My only issues are that it's a bit heavy. I built my own sling and that helps. Also, as other users have noted, it tends to drip gas from the gas cap when the motor is angled a certain way.
As others mention, this is a heavy machine. Steel shaft and all. Offsetting the weight is the fact that it is well balanced. The motor is powerful, yet fairly quiet. The motor has enough power to reach full speed in about 1.5 sec even with the head pushed against the ground. The clutch also engages at a pretty low speed, and the throttle has good progression, so you can effectively mow with it at lower speeds (this can drastically cut down on fuel consumption if you are trimming less thick stuff, and reducea the tendency to damage tender trees, fences, etc). Has tons of power at high revs. This unit has the psuedo industry standard square drive and shaft clamp, so it should work with various manufactureres accessories, but I have not tried any yet. Another bonus is its made in the US (though designed in Sweden). Would have preferred totally US build and designed Echo, but not for 2x the price.
Everything seems to work great on it. Only problem I had was I have never try to load the new style head. Once I had that figured out it was a breeze. Seems to have plenty of power for my needs.
Started on the 3rd pull right out of the box. Plenty of power and runs great! I have no complaints with this weed eater other than it seems that the shaft runs backwards compared to a craftsman trimmer, so I had to take my brush cutter attachment apart and put the blade on opposite. Other than that this trimmer is the boss!
First one I bought ran great. So does the second. Not sure how the first one left the manufacturer with the drive shaft cable disconnected, but it was. Perhaps was a simple fix, but seems like sloppy assembly to me. Lowes just gave me another. Works great. Idles slow and quiet. Has more power than my Troy-Bilt 25cc TB22EC had. And if you buy 3 cans of their premixed gas, your warranty extends to 4 years.
RECEIVED ITEM PROMPTLY, WELL PACKEGED AND IN GOOD SHAPE. FUELED UP AND STARTED UP ON 4 PULLS. RAN GREAT.VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE LIKE THIS!! THANKS MUCH.
I bought three of these husqvarna string trimmers-- two 128ld and one 128cd reconditioned. They all work like new so far.
As a commercial landscaper who uses trimmers on an almost daily basis I did find this unit to be a bit underpowered but then I bought it mostly for light work and as a backup because I can tell you my regular duty machine is actually a brush hog and for $110 you can't, you won't, no matter how hard and long you look, find better for less, not a chance, this trimmer is a steal and a bargain at the same time and I would highly recommend this unit to most anybody
This is one sickkk machine. A hundred bucks and change for this is a STEAL! The thing CUTS GRASS like mad.
I am not a pro and have only used cheap trimmers in the past. This one is well balanced, isn't excessively loud for what it is, and seems to work so much better!
I haven't has an opportunity to really "use" it but I fueled it up and it started and ran strong in my brief early winter test). Air filter looked a little dirty (slight disappointment since you'd think that woudl be a new part during refurbishing) and there were a few scratches on the shaft but it looked pretty new otherwise....can't beat it for the price.
Worked well right out of the box. Very powerful, alittle heavy but not unomfortable. Got this thing on sale and could not be happier. Only complaint is that I haven't had it very long so I can't comment on how long it lasts.
Arrived in just a few days. Box had shipping damage but nothing inside was broken. Added fuel and it started right up. I bought an adjustment tool elsewhere for the high/low settings but did not have to use it. Most of the cutting line was still there. Someone had written the number '22' on the outside of the plastic cover. Paid 130 bucks, cost 230+tax at DIY stores.
It's a lot more powerful than the one I had and that is exactly what I needed to hack down thistle and other growth in the wilds where my cabin is located.
Fast shipping...Really fast. Looked like it was brand new & started right up.
Works well, plenty of power..In my opinion you can't go wrong with this..
I finally had to retire my 10 year old Makita trimmer. The Husquvarna 128LD has been a great replacement thus far. It is very easy to start and quiet. I find it well balanced. It has plenty of power, and has no trouble devouring the Japanese Knotweed (bamboo) I am at war with. It is a great deal for the money. There are none of the glaring cosmetic flaws which one would expect from a reconditioned tool. I am extremely satisfied.
Great trimmer! Started on the 3rd pull out of the box and every time since! The motor has enough power to rip through anything. Use it with craftsman trimming accessories I had already had in my shed. Works absolutley great!
Other than knowing that I bought a refurbished model, you would never be able to tell the difference from a brand new one that cost double the price!! Im very satisfied!
The String trimmer arrived 2 days after ordering. It started very easily on the 3rd pull. It looked almost like new. Only a couple of signs of use that were very hard to even notice without looking for them. The trimmer accepted all the attachments I had from my old Poulan trimmer which was important. The trimmer is so much more powerful and will easily cut heavy grass, the edger works great, and my blower works good. The rpms seem lower because the blower does not blow as hard...no problem though. I am very happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone needing a work horse string trimmer. After 2 months of heavy summer use, the Husqvarna seems to of qood quality.
I HAVE USED AN ELECTRIC WEED WACKER FOR A LONG TIME. MY HUSQVARNA WORKS EXCELLENT, IT DOES A GREAT JOB CUTTING AND KEEPING THE YARD CLEAN. I'M VERY HAPPY AND I WISH I'D BOUGHT IT BEFORE.
Runs great at half Choke dies at full Choke will get it tuned correctly. I am running premium gas mixed at 50:1 ratio. This machine cuts down everything. Kudzu does not have a chance. I just wish that the throttle had been adjusted correctly.
Used for edging with great results. This unit is well built and easy to start. Follow the instructions carefully when replacing the line and it feeds nicely.
Couldnt tell it was refurbished. great deal at less than half for a new one. ready to go out of the box.
