I received my weed trimmer in a very timely fashion, however it did not come with the Tap-N-Go head as described. Instead, it came with a head that uses pre-cut strings. VM Innovations refunded me some money because it wasn't as described and they didn't stock the replacement heads. The price was great, and the trimmer fired right up.
Really good unit except you constantly have to change the line. Original description is bump feed and it's not. After every few min of use you need to change line you waste 1/2 of the line in the threading part of the trimmer.
Great product, easy to use!
Only con...I should have bought more
<span>The Lawn trimmer did not come with the Tap-N-Go head as advertised by the Poulan for model Pro PP125. Instead, it came with a head that uses pre-cut strings. VMinnovation didn't mention the deviation from OEM design even this is a refurbished unit. The pre-cut string does not last long enough to finish a nornal yard work. Time is wasted on replacing string instead of trimming lawn.</span>
This thing was easy to use, but very heavy after 10 minutes usage. It was also very loud and without the bump n go head, the string gets very short after short time usage. If you're tall, this is good though since it is very long. Not sure why the steering holder is bent though. Kinda awkward. Easy to start up though.
This lawn trimmer is very powerful and works great so far. It is refurbished, the one I received looked like it had been used the day before (they could of at least wiped it down). Shipping was a joke - a bunch of loose parts in a gigantic box. But ultimately this is a great lawn trimmer for a great price - I paid $55.
Used for weed trimming around our 1 acre place.
Item received in specified 3 days along with extensive VM customer support mailings. I knew when it was shipped, who was the carrier and when to expect. A+ on that part. Item came with all parts and instructions and was easy to complete assembly. Unlilke some of the eariler models, this has a bump feed head and I expect it will work just fine. I have both the pole pruner (chain saw) attachment and the roto tiller. I gased the power head up, primed and pulled six times to fire it. It works as specified and I have no complaints. It's too early in Virginia for grass, but I used the tiller and my cmopost pile and the power head has plenty of guts. Overall I am totally pleased. a better bargain will be hard to find.
Have used for several months now, easy start, easy to use.
Did not come with tap and go trimmer head, had to buy a universal one.
The trimmer arrived with a broken bump feed head and with an air filter that looked like it was soaked in oil. I contacted vminnovations and they gave me some response saying I would have to take it into a qualified service center to be fixed. I called around to a few in my area and they all said that those are maintenance items that the warranty does not cover.
The trimmer was missing its handle... and using this without a handle is pretty intense. Also, it was missing the prommised bottle of 2-cycle oil. In both cases, I was compensated by vminnovations, but less than I feel they were worth. Otherwise, it runs welland was in fair shape.
The trimmer works great. I wondered about it, for the selling price, and the fact that it was refurbished, but it works fine. I used it to trim around our VFW post, and had no problems. It started almost every time on the first pull, and had plenty of power. About the only thing I could say that is somewhat negative about it is it's a little heavy, and might be a bit much for some women to carry and use for a long period of time, but that is to be expected with that type of trimmer.
We were so excited to get this procuct for the price. We trusted the positive reviews and thought we couldn't go wrong. However, when we recieved the weed eater, assembled it, and went to use it, it kept shutting off. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. Mailing a large item (or any item back) is burdensome. We were disappointed that the product was not checked out prior to mailing it out to us. We did recieve a full refund, but no apologies and obviously we had to use our tape, printer, paper and time and gas in making sure the product was returned properly.
I will comment that the Fedex box and deliverer were not very impressive either.
easy to start, powerful engine and great price with free shipping.....love to have it .
VMinnovations.com is a great place to buy, very good prices and customer service is excellent. I was missing parts and they took care of me in 2 day I got my replacements. The missing part was lost by Fedex and not Vminnovations.com fault, just wnat to make that clear. Vminnovations.com you gain a customer.
Pros:
Easy to start, just one pull and you on you way.
Cons:
Kill switch was too close to my handle, I accidently keep kill it.
The Ryobi I've been struggling with for the last five years finally gave up. I would have to pull the starter 6 times before it would start then if it stayed running it would be a miracle. I got this one and two pulls later I'm up and running. Mine came with the bump style line feeder, which after reading some reviews, wasn't expected but happily suprised.
The button to turn it off did not work. It would not shut off.
This sum bish works great! Easy start up and plenty of power to get the job done. I purchased an edger attachment and it does a fine job at edging also. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Great little trimmer. Esay to assemble and started up with two pulls when i received it. It feels and looks very well built. Almost new for it being a refurbished unit. Overall dows the job i need it too
It took me about 20 pulls for the first time to start it. It runs quitely and powerful. Would be 5 stars if the line feeder is included.
I've used the product once on my Medium sized corner lot. I'm using it to weed eat and edge.
The trimmer was very easy to start and came with the bump head. I probably used it for 45 mins and the only problem i had was that the weight started to make my shoulder hurt after about 25mins. Otherwise its a pretty good refurb for the cost.
The unit looks new even though it has some numbers written on it in permanent ink but it's no big deal. I followed the instructions and it started right up and ran well afterwards - no adjustments needed. It has a cast aluminum trim head where you have to manually replace a string section of about 18" long every once in a while. I found a bump trim head on ebay for about $13 new and now I just bump it at fully spped whenever it needs more string. Very easy to swap the head. For string I use the Oregon Gator twisted line which seems to last much longer and does not break off like a solid nylon type.
This unit starts easy - looks new. The grass safety block is actually better than the one that comes on most of these.
Plenty of power - love the string. This will handle 105 string. If you're commercial you might one just for back up or daily use. Takes all attachments for Troy and others.
I sold mine becuase I was offered more than I paid for it - -however the price went up so I am waiting for it to drop back down - then I will buy 2 more.

Not much to this thing. When I pulled it out of the box, and looked at it, it was definately used. I cleaned the filter and picked the debris out of from the filter housing (the stuff that got passed the filter.) There was no bump head trim line (nor is it advertised as such), so I put the one on from my dead Ryobi (works fine). I wouldn't recommend this thing for a lot of yard work, but for week-end warrior stuff, it works fine. Can't beat the price.
Looks and runs as if brand new, not refurbed. I for one like the single string head design as I could never get the bump and go heads to work properly and reloading them takes far too long.
Am very pleased with the interchangeable head design. I can use the edger head from my Ryobi on this Poulan.
Great service and quick delivery from vminnovations.
Product was refurbished but not back to original stock options. The weedeater was fitted with a new fixed, steel head instead of the bounce head that normally comes on it. It idles very rough, but seeems to be running well enough to get the job done.... for now.
<span>Works great, although it was missing the grass shield thing. Overall great product for price!</span>
It was in great condition and runs like a new one if I had known about this long ago I could have saved a lot of money on this item it was realt it would be but I'm very pleased with it. thanks.
Well-made, quality materials. Very easy to start, good starter system. Built with some Husqvarna quality technology (PoulanPro is Husqvarna owned). A bit heavy, hard on arms, tendons unless switched frequently or strap used. My unit was seemingly brand new, squakey clean, with all orginal parts including bump head. Arrived super quickly, safely, although it wasn't packed very safely (gigantic box, no padding). At this price, I couldn't be happier. Thank you VMInnovations.
If it was refurbished I can't tell where, even the tap feeder head wasn't scratched. Assembled the cutter/guard in less than five minutes, that was all the assembly necessary. I use it to trim the flower beds around the whole house and flip the handle 180 degreec and it becomes an edger for the driveway and sidewalks without buying the edger attachment. I love it.
Needed a straight shaft weedeater and wanted one that the shaft attachment fit my exisiting curved shaft Troybilt. This one worked perfectly and only cost about half what a new one would have cost.
