Used on farm trimming THICK brush, love it.
Good unit started right up. What impressed me the most was the cust serv. This company will do whatever is nessesary to take care of you.
I use this gas trimmer to trim around lawn edges and high growth between groups of trees and steep slopes. I like the high cutting speed and power along with the balance of the curved shaft design of this Husqvarna 128CD 28cc Gas Line Trimmer with dual feed cutting head. Before I have had the straight shaft trimmers but I do like this curved shaft design the best for long continual use. So far I think this will be the best gas line trimmer I have ever owned. I can't list any faults with this gas line trimmer so far.
Received, gassed-up, pushed primer bulb several times and the trimmer started on the 3rd pull. It is not the most powerful I have owned but does the job thus far. I swapped out the head which was a 2 string bump one with one that has 3 strings which are replaceable by just pushing them into the head and is one which will be easier to use and more effective cutter. Time will tell as far as longevity of the trimmer.
I was expecting some wear and tear because it was a refurbed product. Suprisingly, It looks brand new. Starts very easily and runs great. It does need a minute or two to warm up, but after that it screams thru the trimming.
VMInnovation delivered in two days. AMAZING! I just went from a weedeater brand trimmer to this. Factory Reconditioned with very few signs of wear. Basically, the head that holds the spool had signs of wear and there was some CHEAP used string in it. I used the string that was in there at first, but it was loud and would dissapear quickly. I put on some high end square shaped stuff that worked very well and last at least 10x longer. As for startup, it arrived today, I put gas in it and it started in 4 pulls. I like the fact that there is a safety switch to start it and that the head doesn't spin in idle. The cons is that it's much bulkier than others I've used. My wife cannot handle the weight of the trimmer. Can't talk to longevity, but so far so good!
Small signs of use but it works excellent, enough power. I bought the edger attachment for it, it fit with no problem. The only thing is that the trigger came broken. That's why I provide 4 starts. I'm waiting for VMInnovation to see what we can do with it. Fast shipping.
I didn't buy this product but I had won it in a contest by VMInnovations. Thanks VMI ! I use this product regularly and it works great. It's sleek design makes it easy to handle. It is very powerful and gets the job done. I like the fact that you can use different attachments with this product. My only dislike is that the string spool sometimes but not often, does not retract when bumped. Other than that it's a great product. I give it a 4.25 star rating.
I am impressed with the cutting ability of this Husky 128CD 28cc Gas Line Trimmer. It is a high speed unit that also has enough power to tackle cutting most any weeds and trimming situation you face with a gas line trimmer with a dual feed cutting head.
VMI was very prompt with informing me on the status of the delivery. Item arrived safely, in a big box and 90% assembled. Saw some other reviews and was a bit concerned with getting a really beat up piece, but that was not the case. However, there are slight marks, dents and marker notes on the orange plastic cover. I am not complaining, I know I purchased a refurbishes product, but the engine and gas tank look new. Replacing the probably $2 plastic cover would have went a long way with a wow-ing first impression. Just saying... Only used it once so far, with no issues. Put gas in the unit, followed the clearly marked starting instructions and the trimmer turned on right away. Even the "bump to release line" works fine! And I was somewhat unlucky in the past with using this feature with other brands trimmers. Just like any other device, it takes a bit of time to adjust to its size and weight, but so far I feel like I got a great deal and am very happy with my purchase. Yes, I would recommend to a friend and yes, I would definitely buy one again.
The trimmer was great to use, the engine is smooth, and makes consistent cuts for both edging and sweeping. It starts right up, much better than the 2 craftsman I used before (I used to think the craftsman are good products). With the craftsman, it is very easy to get pulled into the turf and go off-course, with the Husqvarna, the operation is much easier to control and stays straight. I didn't use the included the curved attachment, but my own straight shaft. I could tell a big difference in the way it handles: much easier. Overall, a much better product.
Item works great , very strurdy.
I bought this trimmer to replace the Craftsman 32cc trimmer. The Craftsman was nothing but trouble from the get go. Compared to this Husqvarna, it really is night and day difference. I have been trying to fix and fiddle with the old one since the 2nd grass cut, now after 2 years, it finally died for good and refuse to start at all. The husqvarna is easy to start when brand new, and easy to start the following week, and even after weeks of no use. When in action, it is light, yet powerful and the power was delivered in a much smooth fashion, it is very stable, and the throttle control is very smooth and easy to control. I can easily ramp it up, down or in between, since the throttle control is smooth and precise, I can just pull the trigger to the desired speed, and it has an amazing ability to stay at that speed, instead of me gunning it, then hunt for the right back down point.
After a new few weeks of no-use, it's time to prepare for winter. I dumped out the left over fuel, the starting was surprisingly easy considering how long it's been sitting: fired up on the 2nd pull. I let it idle till it dies out. Now it is ready for winter.
It looks like it might give me trouble free service next year. I am kind of looking forward to next year.
